I will offer you my completely biased points on why I like Yoimiya so much, talk about her strength and weaknesses and try to answer the question "Should I pull for Yoimiya" (yes you should) or "Is Yoimiya still worth it?" I never regretted pulling her in her first banner, she is a life savior when it comes to killing bosses especially in spiral abyss, and she is super easy to play! I'm glad there are people like you who love her despite the hate she got.
I got to clear floor 12-3 for the first time with Yoimya! She is very underated by the meta.

3:18 please note that any shielder will be good for yoimiya (not just zhongli ;)), since it decreases her sensitivity to interruption. het 1st, 3rd and 5th hits are the strongest respectively, so not getting interrupted can be key to winning or losing a fight. next time your artifacts roll defense, put them on Noelle and see how strong her shield can get :p

Update: 275 pulls later, I have C2 Yoimiya with Thundering pulse and a c6 Yunjin, when I didn't have the character before (and another Diluc constellation, making it the second time I lose 50/50 and both times on a Yoimiya banner lmao)
Already have her lvl 90 with triple crown and 90 weapon. She has now become my strongest character by a ridiculous margin.

i pulled for freedom sword after getting c2 kazuha...i didn't get it....ended up loosing pity to lost prayers and now i m broke. i just hope i get few more pulls from the shop and abyss to get freedom sword before it's gone..but i m pretty sure i won't get it..
Yoimiya's whole "single target DPS issue" goes out the window in overload teams with Fischl and Beidou. You can stunlock whole groups of enemies with them in the team, especially if you utilize Yoimiya's burst as well.
If you think overload can compete with a main DPS that can hit multiplie targets... Oh lord xD
But then why not use fischl and beidou with a better character to get more value out of them 🤔
Get a bit of venti into the mix and...
I feel like just having a Xingqiu and Yelan is better in terms of AOE than overload teams.Yelan and Xingqiu with their E and Yoi ult can do a surprising amount of AOE damage.
Just overvape them all
Yoimiya + Fischl/Beidou/Raiden + Xingqiu/Yelan + whateveryoulike= dead enemies and flashy damage numbers
7:22 Consider this, new Sumeru characters should be getting their reruns till Fontaine comes out. For Yoimiya there's no indication if she'll get another with newer characters getting the spotlight.

The reason why her burst doesn’t do as much damage is because basically all the damage is put into her normal attacks,so yeah if your planning to pull for yoimiya and your f2p,the rust is a good choice,the talent books can be all put into her normal attacks and elemental skill

I love Yoimiya's personality, playstyle, theme and theme song.
Her single target dps is very high, and can beat flying enemies easily bc she is a bow character. Overload team can make up for her single target problem. If you are looking for a 3-star weapon, use Slingshot, it can outperform Hamayumi and can almost be as effective as the Rust.
i call bullshit on the rust XD i agree for the rest. Rust R5 give her WAY too much damage to be compared to slingshot crit damage.
As A Yoimiya main since last year myself, i completely agree with everything you said in the video, I never regretted for a single second I pulled on her, and thank you for promoting such a underrated but lovable character

Also she is completely fair and balanced, there are other characters like her in the game in that regard, and I appreciate them the most.

@@ujjwalchoudhary8301 that is true. idk why everyone tries to defend her for having literally zero aoe. like she is the only dps unit in the game with zero aoe. u don't always face only bosses. in fact even in open world and mainly in abyss, u face multiple enemies like over 80% of the time. idk why mihiyo made her burst so crap. it really didn't had to all all that mark crap and over time dmg by other team mates. if it has just a simple one tap nuke multiplier like hu tao, childe, zhongli, raiden, etc , yoimiya would have been a lot better. i mean it's really dumb to see that when it comes to a aoe based fight with multiple targets, even a 4 star dps like yanfei, ninguanng, heizou, etc can easily slap yoimiya.

I've always liked Yoimiya's design and personality, that being said, I had no intent on pulling for her because y'all know, sumeru characters are coming, I ended up broke after Kazuha and Klee's banners and I generally suck ta using bows but after playing her trial, oh god, I fell in love, she is the easiest bow character I've ever used and her playstyle is so much fun, this video was the last drop, I WILL get Yoimiya, currently 24 pity on my 50/50 and 0 wishes but I WILL get her one way or another

I pulled on Yoimiya’s first banner and got her luckily since I had been saving, I’ve mained her ever since. She’s an amazing dps and I use her for almost everything. It’s too bad people might not want to pull for her since she’s been sandwiched between other really good characters and yet somehow I got unwanted Raiden and Ayaka
I mained Fischl and never wanted any 5* at all. Yet i kept getting all of them.

lol. First thing i noticed too. Only reason I pulled for yelan was because I heard yoimiya was getting a rerun. I think yelan is ranked in the perfect synergy category

I missed her past banners due to me being broke, and I've been waiting for her re run for so long. When I found out she's finally coming back in the next patch, I was ELATED. I started saving and GRINDING so hard after I gained a guaranteed from losing furina's 50/50. I've loved her personality since seeing her in the inazuma quests!
After realising through a few instagram reels that she's not a great character (meta) I started looking up some videos. I realised that after the ending of each of the videos I watched discussing why she isn't meta, that I literally did not care if she wasn't and I would pull her anyway, and this video was a breath of fresh air from the other ones saying that she mostly isn't worth the primos.
As I already mentioned my decision remains unchanged, Yoimiya has been my waifu for so long and this next patch.. SHE WILL COME HOME!!!!

Great video! I have recently started playing Genshin again after a few months break. I'm doing the Inazuma story right now and Yoimiya is adorable! I love that idle animation she does with the sparkler! Maybe I should try to pull for her because I do have the Rust bow :3

Now this guide is perfect, not too much to convince players but just right for everyone if they ever have anything else they want to do,
i still remember last year when i had her guaranteed i was prefarming. fighting the pyro cube was hell at first but i got used to it and became the easiest cubes to fight imo. i had the rust ready but on the day i got her i also got the skyward harp on the standard LOL
I remember those days too! I had to take Barbara off the bench to carry me through those fights

She was my first 5 star which I got by mistake when I came back to the game and I honestly never regretted getting her, she has been my best girl since her first banner and has always been in my main team especially after I got Zhongli as well, now I am unbeatable :D

I played her test run tonight. I've gotten so used to Yelan, I was confused as to why Yoimiya was having so much trouble, and I'm like...OH! RIGHT! Yelan is literally the only archer that can pepper enemies with arrows like she's a mini-gun. NOW I understand why I'm having so much trouble getting Yoimiya to do serious damage. She's not a game-breaker! It would be nice to have a pyro archer with a decent burst, though. (Whenever I get Noelle in a test run, it always annoys me because my Noelle is built so much better and has Skyward Pride.) Also, thanks for warning me off of the weapons banner. I've been trying to get another five-star weapon. If I can get a five-star sword for Bennett or catalyst for Sucrose, I can finally load up my main team with five-star weapons.

Her personality is great and chill, she's got a fun playstyle.. Im actually so happy that i got her, now slowly building her.. Can't wait to play with her!
I think it's also worth mentioning that Yelan is absolutely insane with Yoimiya. Xingqiu is already incredibly good, but Yoimiya can't vape his ult consistently but with Yelan she can. Yelan is really just Xingqiu on crack and the synergy is incredible. You can take down even high HP enemies in the blink of an eye.

I decided to spend my very first 20 wishes (i've never pulled on event banner before) on yoimiya banner. In 20 wishes i got Yun Jin, Bennet and Yoimiya. I believe your video brought me luck. I got Kazuzu this patch, since he’s been my favorite ever since I joined during his first banner. Back then Yoimiya was a great character in my eyes, but sadly she didn’t come home. I don’t think I’ll get her this time either, I’m currently sitting at 39 pity with 5 wishes and lots of copium. I hope I can somehow still manage to get her. And if not, Qiqi, come home :)

It’s kinda funny that you mentioned the bosses because I remember I had yoimiya in the team that had to fight the boss and her killed it in like two seconds
Speaking of dmg my Yanfei can perform quite enough and can deal dmg from away and its not a single target and with a 4 star weapon that suites both dps, sub dps, and support characters.
The thing that can make players who gone far in this game to pull for her is her personality. Her idle animation is unique like other characters and players naturally have preferences.
The character is a replaceable character and it won't hurt you if you skip her not like skipping Zhongli, The Shogun, or Kazuha.
I want to get all characters in this game both 4 and 5 star but the company business model is forcing players to make hard decisions including paying money for pixels.
I like how me and you have almost the exact same opinions about her like Marin Kitagawa thing Itto but female thing as well
