- Silk Route in Eastern Sikkim is a part of the ancient trade route which started from all the way to Lhasa to the port of Tamluk ( Tamralipta) in West Bengal. And this April to refresh our sun- burnt brain and to enjoy the cold in the mountains, we planned to have a journey to East Sikkim and to cover the old silk route.
We made a plan of 3 days 2 nights to cover the silk route from Siliguri to Gangtok.
This is the 3rd Road Trip of the series.
Here's a road map for you of the silk route:
Siliguri- Rishikhola- Mankhim- Aritar- Rongli- Lingtam- Zuluk- Lungthung- Nathang Valley- Baba Mandir- Chhangu Lake- Gangtok.
We covered Silk route by our own car and self-drive. So, if you look at our road trips you are going to have ideas on roads and many other informations on driving in hills. We will bring road trips and separate vlogs giving you all the necessary details about places to visit and many more so that you can make your own planning to visit silk route at your own.
