Porcelain Xerath would’ve been amazing. The spirit trapped within a beautiful ancient jar made by the most talented porcelain artisan to be ever live breaks free but the pieces of the jar are still bound together by the craftsmanships of the artisan.

Personally I think the worst thing about Porcelain coming back is just all the missed champion opportunities. Ori, Gwen, Syndra (throwing vases or tea cups). If we are going for "popular champions", Darius is such a weird choice. I get we may need Irelia and MF in the skinline to get that China money since they are their fave champs, but Darius?

All these references of Porcelain weaponrey might be a nod to artist Helena Hauss, who has become known for her porcelain statues of axes, guns, greneade and such. I recommend checking it out, her work is super cool
holy crap! very cool, but you left out the best one, the porcelain (i'm typing this right now, strange) spiked baseball bat! The flail is great too. I never knew weapons could be so pretty.
I love how one of the examples you used for cases where it makes sense to change the face was project ashe and she just still looks like ashe but with augments

The rendering on the irelia splash art is amazing, but i cannot get over a couple of things. Her back, once again, broken, or at least heavily contorted like 90% of females in splash arts. Her hands are so big? Her arms seem so long? I'm sure it makes sense if I actually draw over the proportions and with a view that seems to come slightly from below, but with her tiny face it just makes her body look so... large. I've seen people rave about the splash art but I don't see it. Her face not looking like irelia also wouldn't have been as much of an issue if she had her typical long hair.
Absolutely agree. It looks STUNNING, but also just not good.. It doesn’t look like Irelia. AT ALL. It looks like “generic anime babe #13.” Any of her defining facial features are completely gone. That might as well be a different person
And if you zoom in on her neck it is nightmare infusing. SO LONG. Just like a Brontosaurus. It looks beautiful just don't look at it for more than 5 seconds. 😅
I saw that complaint on Twitter and a few (thin) women responding to it by recreating that pose flawlessly.
The main thing is that her upper body is facing one way, and then the lower body is facing a completely different direction so that it looks way more contorted than an actual human body. It becomes a traditional "boobs and butt" pose, where they try to give you 100% of both but break the spine in the process.

The issue of this event is the Skins are LOOK the SAME and frankly speaking Aurelion's Legendary does not even look like a legendary skin and I forget.... Year of the DRAGON but it never feels like A Dragon Year

My friend follows a bunch of artists working on those splasharts and she told me that it was RIOT that used ai to edit the original finished art that is sent to them via the artist… But since edits on Riot’s part is included in the terms and conditions they sign they can’t do anything about Riot butchering their work using ai.
Prestige Porcelain Kindred have nothing porcelain in them, it's so weird. The previous one was weirdly human, yes, but at least it looked pretty, especially Wolf's mask. This skinline has less and less porcelain in it. As a Morgana main, I was really hyped up when I heard about her being in this skinline, but they didn't even give her porcelain wings, she's got generic glowing blue wings she had times and times before, albeit with some porcelain details. I'm really disappointed
Taric would've made more sense, have small beautiful porcelain figurines flow around him, and one to link onto a person.
Along with his ult having some cool effects, and his mace could maybe work a bit more than an axe or guns xD
MY biggest issues with this patch of skins is the champion choices...NO ONE can convince on how anyone BUT aureluon fits this skinline...putting gunslingers and blade users onto a thematic that emphasises FRAGILE PORCELAIN is insane...
Bc not only did they not fit the thematic itself but there were SO MANY better champion choices than what we got...
Such as shaco who could've been a porcelain puppet doll, gwen and orianna who would've been porcelain dolls...like yeah these three would all be dolls but the fantasy of the skinline would rise TREMENDOUSLY if it had these choices...
nonetheless, riot dropped the ball once again as they do every time with a 2nd batch of a skinline...and it's a shame cuz this was one of the more inventive and innovative lny thematics that riot has came up with in the past few years...
I am happy Lamb is back to being masked but I was really hoping for a new thematic for kindred with the porcelain. Though the skin looks more crystal modus than porcelain in my opinion. Anyone else hoping for a more creepy Kindred skin? like old gods or even fright night? Something to invoke the fear of death.

I just wished they gave him a bit more. Like a form change mechanic when at certain stacks. Would’ve been perfect to play off his original theme of breaking loose or in this case maybe gaining armor.

I can't hear sounds that are over 4000Hz so for me the sfx are mostly silent in this skinline. Which suck if you think about it

i dont get why after so many years we cant have a setting for changing skins into the base skin for champs. this would solve a lot of issues, like the issue with the sfx as mentioned in the video or spells that are harder to see (a lot of legendary skins have this issue)
And you know there are definitely people who will use the sounds from those skins to screw with people.

3:33 Porcelain is sometimes used as a word for several different types of ceramic materials. Though mostly the white shiny pottery most know, there are ceramic knifes. They are VERY sharp and tend to stay that way for a long time...

I understand Riot was purchased by Tencent but I am sick and tired of Asian-inspired skins and Asian-inspired champions at this point. Few months ago I realized how good League of Legends used to be and how it turned into a flashy Asian-inspired mobile moba that is worse than the games that copied League at this point.
Better uninstall because this isn't going away. Gotta please their new overlords. One of the main reasons I quit. I want OG League, not Eastern LoL. Plenty of clones already exist for people who want those.

What's funny is that tencent gives riot full freedom to do whatever they want. It's riot who's trying to please the china market, specially with the last 4 batches of skins who were all for the chinese new year.
I'm not sure if old LoL was any better either. Instead of appealing to eastern cultures it was a clear cut copy of warcraft, with hideous pointy 3d models and all. League didn't start to be better until season 4 more or less. And honestly the newest seasons had it's peaks like renata, bel 'veth, naafiri and most reworks. Still waiting for skarner to finally came out

No, no, i think everyone missed the mark with the choice of characters in this year's skinline, cause in my opinion it makes sense! After all, in riot's eyes, someone gotta pay for A Sol legendary that won't bring them thousands of dollars. Although with these sound effects, i don't read them a commercial success Riot is desperate for anyway
I just don't have the kind of free time to be angry about an optional skin line in a video game.

Kindred mains are weird af, one of the biggest reasons why I bought Spirit Blossom Kindred was because I found a mod to completely remove her mask and here they are crying about the OG Porcelain skin

I personally don't mind as much. Tho lore wise she is a another part of death and death being human somewhat loses charm for me? Mythical lamb and a wolf sounds cooler. But honestly blossom is cutie

But the backlash to the og Porcelain skin probably wouldn't have been as big if the mask had just covered her entire face, I mean the entire point of Kin wearing masks in the first place is to not give death a face right?

I really wish they would be a bit more 'personal' with the faces. I loved when Taliyah was released becaause at least she would be recognisable. And with Swain and Darius (and probably most male champs), they do a reasonable job keeping his face similar between skins. so why can't the woman have something that makes em feel a bit more like actual characters? I'm pretty sure most people loved the visuals for Jinx's face in arcane more than her splash arts from lol just because it feels much more like a person.
Skin thematics are just washing machines that riot throws champs in now, preferably the most popular

Irelia is based heavily on Chinese sword fantasy (floating swords that atack for you and stuff) so I can see the reason for her single theme that extends across all her skins
Malphite would've been such a great addition to the skinline. I mean, he even "shatters" when his Passive goes down.
If they really wanted to add an adc to line, I think Jhin would've been a good choice, he has an artistic theme already after all.
I think Taric, Xerath and MAYBE even Zilean would've been good choices as well for the line.

It also seems weird to release a Tiger themed porcelain skin for Darius with the Year of the Dragon skinline. It's as if they didnt manage to get it done last year when it actually was Year of the Tiger and they squeezed it in this time.

Thank god I am not the only one who had a problem with the sfx in this skinline. Last time these skins came out, the people I talked too didn't get what I was saying, but for me being a Kindred main, their porcelain skin was unplayable for me. The sound effects actually started to give me really bad headaches and I stopped using that skin all together after a week. It was so bad!

Funny how opposite of "same face syndrom" we have Talon that have different faces on every single skin
I think Porcelain Ezreal fits because his skills are energy fired from his glove, therfore his glove being porcelain makes sense and he is shooting the energy from his glove. Also his W shaters when he hits it with an ability or attack dealing bonus dmg from the "shaterred potcelain"
Porcelain Kindred also has the issue, that it kept all the default animations. Spirit Blossom Kindred was able to cover that with the clothes but Porcelain can't. I talk in particular about the idle animation, where she stands on one leg and looked around - stretching her neck in the process. Default Kindred and the other skins don't make that weird but the Porcelain one makes it look extremely off and goofy. If you want a modern comparison - skibidi toilet Kindred basically.

And as much as I love Miss Fortune and Kai'Sa, there are so many champs that are more deserving of lunar skins, but riot is focused on milking as much as they can, yet again
I still love that darius' icon resembles more of Yoru from valorant than darius himself
