I 100% agree with your review. When the show first started, the racing and the characters themselves weren’t too interesting. But it did start to somewhat improve around episode 6. But everything from the execution, the pacing, the characters, and the action scenes during racing really started to step up its game during season 2 entirely. Overall, despite some issues it’s a very solid sports anime. And let’s be fair, it’s the best toonami original so far and better than most of the other toonami originals they got right now.
Thanks for the review! I like this one alot even though the voice acting is a little flat. I like how Takeshi went through a relationship while being a pro athlete and it showed the struggle for keeping your life in order in that situation. One thing that bugs me is how little they describe the sport itself to you. Like, they do attacks that have names and its clearly a race in robots but its hard to have tension when it's kind of just whoever knocks the other robot over wins half the time. Then they started outlawing moves? Like WTF

rad review J-Chip. I'll have to give it a watch. I am trying to remember if I have even heard of this
Cool review. I could never get into this anime. I do love seeing Mecha used for other things instead of just war as well.
I always liked this show :D great review bud

Are you a Liz guy or an Amy guy?
@@JChipShow I remember liking the team owner most I think, but Liz I suppose. Team black egg was the best team name
