I searched church of Christ on women in the church and Bro Williams popped up 🙏 praise is amazing, but the word MUST be followed
It's not a punishment to submit to your husband especially if your husband is a God-fearing man. I personally think it's dream come true to have a real man real decision and be the one in charge family.
I know 1 person in the exact scenario and another person in a similar situation:: Who does a husband turn to if his wife is living in sin but goes to church every time it’s open and even works there during the week? Who does a husband turn to if the only thing he will be told is that if he would just live up to Ephesians 5 then his wife would, as if he isn’t and or as if Ephesians 5 is only to be obeyed by a wife on the condition that her husband measures up in her eyes? Who does a husband go to when his wife is living under powerful delusions that dark evil forces will kill her husband if she lives righteously and when you go for help the husband is told that the delusions don’t exist that he and or his wife are making them up because mental illness can’t be happening in a wife who works at the church and attends every time they are open?
@1:06:51 consider Colossians 3:17 et al as the foundation of any rebellious worship practice- whether there are enough men in a congregation or not or too many "non-working" men. Whatever "rationale" we give for doing anything that goes against NT teaching ( and OT learning)- at the very core is usurping the all-authority of Christ and His doctrine. From this comes heresies/splits/division- sadly

Thank you for your question. There are 5 acts of worship that can be displayed any day and on your on personal time. Corporate worship is simply when the saints come together on the Lord's day to honor God with those 5 acts. Personal Worship is just you and Corporate worship is collectively all of the saints together.

Good Day, happy to do so. Submit means to yield, it also means to accept.The wife has a God given role that the husband must honor and "accept" or "yield" to. If the husband is wrong, it is the wife's God given responsibility to address her husband and not go along with the error. If the husband is trying to accomplish a task for the family, the wife is a help meet and the husband must submit and allow her to help. The husband should not reject or ignore her God given authority. The scripture to highlight is Ephesians 5:28-29. A husband nourishes and cherishes his wife, loving his wife as his own BODY. When your BODY is tired, you stop, submit and go to sleep. You listen to your BODY. A husband will do the same. I pray this provided more clarity.
Was it not the women who first taught the disciples of the Christ? Did he not first reveal who he was to the women at the well? If a man ask a woman to lead a prayer, who is exerting authority? We are all in in Christ Jesus! If we married then we are one flesh! On our church little girls can’t even collect attendance cards.
Hello, thank you for responding. To your questions: 1.) No, the women did not teach the disciples of Christ, but the Angels were the first to proclaim the message that Jesus was risen. The women repeated what the angels told them to the disciples. There is a difference between teaching and delivering news. Good news at that. 2.) Jesus was first revealed to Joseph and Mary by the angel of God. But this is not to downplay that women are extremely important and valuable in the Kingdom. 3.) Women can do many things, this lesson was only pertaining to Teaching, Leading, and Directing in a corporate setting. Passing out cards is not even a leadership role and is not addressed here. The Lesson points to Jesus wants and not what we think is equality. If Jesus says he doesn't want something, then we must honor that. No amount of human authority can overturn God's wishes, not even marriage. We pray this has addressed some questions.

I’m not challenging that women should have authority over a man , only what authority implies? Over my 60 plus years it’s amazing to me the differences between the same brotherhood of disciples within the same church! I like your style!

The man of God was specific to Timothy (check the grammar as well). 1Tim 6:11 "you/thou man of God" the you is singular second person, meaning Paul was referring to Timothy as the man of God. Examine the OT usage as well and see where and who it's used for.
When people say they are called to do something it is basically having a talent or affinity toward it. It's just a fancy way of saying that in your heart you know you would be good at it, and you love to do it. So it seems as though its calling you. Every man may not have this talent/gift for preaching. or may not even want to do it. Any christian man can do it if he so chooses.

How does this apply in a marriage where the husband is not a believer in Christ?
My question and worry is not much emphasis is based on women speaking but Can a woman ask question?
We must not mistake worship for Bible class. Worship is really not the setting for men or women to ask questions.

Listening for the first 5 minutes and was blown away by the foolishness been said. His explanation is misleading based on lack of knowledge.
