My dad, who was in Nam, commented to little me "why would a guy who clears tunnels have a huge rifle with a scope?" And it's bothered me since 1987.

Because he’s a regular soldier 99 percent of the time and a tunnel rat only when clearing out a tunnel is required. Is he supposed to go into combat with a pistol and nothing else?
You got it in one. .45 and knife for clearing Tunnels M-60 for outside to provide one of the Squad Automatic Riflemen.

Oh I'm jealous. GameStop says these are gonna ship in September but Hasbro (where I ordered) tells me November.
Edit: Figure looks fantastic. Might be one of the busiest looking ones with all the accessories but I'm not complaining. That's actually what attracted me to the line, the ability to take parts off and having holsters and magazines that weren't just one solid piece.
He looks good I think! He is what I always thought he should morph into in a bigger size! I'm old and I'm a 12" guy. I have the 12" Tunnel Rat and I've done a whole revamp to make him look decent! This Tunnel Rat looks good every way!
Every time I see that Falcon face, I shudder.
Just need Big Lob and Law & Order to finish off the Rawhides!

CANNOT WAIT to get this guy! Face sculpt looks a lot like the movie version you referenced at the beginning. Seems shorter than Falcon just like the movie too! Awesome fig!
Very nice review as always. I also admire Tunnel Rat and Hasbro has tried to match the heights of the other characters with him being way shorter in reality.
What do u think about his rifle and his flashlights?

Looks great I heard people are having issues with the flash lights pegging into the backpack properly but yours looks great

Got mine yesterday and he has a bobble head, too! It’s actually the the neck piece. Looks like it’s sitting too high as there is a gap at the bottom. The scarf covers it mostly but I may have to figure out a way to fix it.

I just got mine and he’s great ….a little fussing around he’s got a lot going on but once you get him on the stand and set how you like him he looks great ….just don’t touch him 😂 or breath on him to hard 😂 great fig him and jinx we’re always my favorites outta that group (the rawhides)……you know that revolver is going to get reused with general hawk
Mine has a wobbly head as well. I don"t think it"s a magazine or a clip. I think it"s an ammo drum. I may be wrong. Got Firefly 2 days ago and his diaphragm joint is wobbly. I don't mind stiff joints, I prefer it. Loose joints suck and I've been known to buy several extra figures that I love in hopes to get one with stiffer joints. Also got a Snow Serpent and I have zero complaints, he's awesome.
