In regards to our Reaction videos:
As many of you know UA-cam can be an unpredictable and often unfair place when it comes to copyright rules and their enforcement. If our video ends up getting cut due to copyright reasons it will be labeled in the title as a Review rather than a Reaction. The music video portion of the video will be cut out and you will only see our before and after thoughts. Unfortunately this is the best we can do under those circumstances and we would appreciate a Like rating on our videos to help us overcome any negative algorithmic affects.

Great reaction. 'Metal Kingdom' is the opening track on the album (being released 24th March) - so of course they used it for the epic theatrical opening number at their concerts two weeks ago - their first live shows in nearly 2 years. Those were at the Makurahi Messe, 2 nights sold out in minutes, 25k people each night.
This was the live performance but with the studio audio - the video was released less than a week after the concerts they filmed it at, so it is understandable why it has the studio audio.
We will have to wait for the DVD for the live audio.
The way the stage was set up - there was an east stage where the Kami Band were and a west stage where Su started here sitting on her throne (there were 3 thrones). Joining the east and west stages was that huge walkway with the audience either side ... two front rows and both of them really long - so many people could benefit ... and on that was the moving stage which travelled along the walkway and also rose up and down.
You are absolutely right, there seems to be no expense spared for their big arena shows in Japan - but that wasn't always the case, they worked hard to earn the backing they get now starting off playing in a shopping mall, a side stage used by comedians by the food hall at a festival, tiny venues with a 150 capacity and so on. They had to prove they could find an audience to start with as they learned their trade and developed their skills and talents.
When they tour internationally they don't bring the big arena show things like moving stages etc with them, but they still put on a great show with their music and energy in the smaller venues and festivals around the world. Definitely well worth paying to go and see them.
Nice reactions and analysis👊🏽⚡️I’ve noticed their performances in Japan are way more ornate and grand. Most of their shows outside of Japan are in medium sized venues (2-5 thousand) and have a more streamlined production. A definite bucket list item for me to see a show of theirs in Japan!
Babymetal is a theatrical production as much as it is a band; the show they put on is every bit as import as the music they create. That's why we always tell people that you need to see Babymetal (ideally live) to experience them in the intended form. I was at Makuhari Messe for the concerts where this was filmed, and it was absolutely mindblowing how good they are live.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This video is from Makuhari shows on Jan.28 /29. I witnessed both shows at the venue. You saw one octagonal movable / elevatable stage but actually there were two identical stages for more surprising production. Several drones with camera were flying around all over the venue.
Once this opening song by Su and Moa got started, I had goosebumps all over my body. The show was held after the almost 2-year long hiatus after all. Seriously many of audience were moved to tears and/or dropped their jaws when the gigantic fox wall opened and the thrones came out. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪. What a happy experience!! The Kami band was playing on the east stage that was not captured in this video.
After this grave opening, 3 girls performed 12 songs with Momoko Avenger. Did you see 3 (not 2) thrones at 02:57 in your video? Yeah, BM will change. The official 3rd girl is going to be unveiled in the next shows in Yokohama on April 1/2. Yes, at last ✌ ps. I managed to get tickets to the shows in April. 😍
The only other band I can think of that puts up shows like that is Rammstein 😂 I wish Babymetal would do a tour with them, just to see if that can reach a new level of crazy good xd.
I feel like if that happened Hawaii might get bombed. We might need Sabaton to sort that out.
This is actually the intro track of the concept album. The vocals were pushed forward for this song, higher up on the mix. Babymetal live for me every time.

As it's already said, the song is actually the first track of the concept album (this is the studio recording) and the visuals are from the opening number they perform in their two last concerts a couple of weeks ago. This is an epic introduction like Queen Su-metal and General Moametal haranguing the hordes of kitsunes before the battle.

When I think of a Babymetal live show I sometimes think of rock opera, anyway, it's meant to be and is amazing immersive experience. If the album is all you have they really are like listening to the sound track without having seen the movie yet. A big part is missing.

Glad to see you're back giving them another chance after Divine Attack which is the second track of this new upcoming album, the first track and opener for this live show is this song.
This is why BabyMetal have no match among any other Japanese artists, top notch worldwide. Many others are finding Game Of Thrones resemblance on this stage setup, it looks insane. The ten prophets are holding crosiers with "The Other One" logo which is similar to the infinite symbol OO and is the title of upcoming 4th album. The girls are carrying some kind of trident similar to the Spear Of Destiny or Lance Of Longinus from Evangelion anime series. 🔱

At the end of January at Makuhari Messe they held two great live shows returning to the stage after almost two years. and by far they meet up my expectations with this epic live performance and top notch production.
SuMetal and MoaMetal showing why they're a queen and princess deserving their thrones. The cinematic drone shots are just insane.
We were expecting this live proshot version but we'll have to wait next month for live sound.
We got so many big news and announcements, a new official member is coming (most likely Momoko Okazaki, the one who has been performing with them all these years and latest live concerts) next live shows in April 1 (Fox Day) when returning once again with another headlining shows at PIA ARENA MM Yokohama. Also they performed with a new BM mirror unit coming from another world of this metalverse, so we're guessing maybe some of the older kawaii metal songs they don't play anymore will be back with this new unit, so stay tuned for more but like always OTFGK.

FYI this is going to be the opening song of the concept album they are bringing out in March. your last song Divine Attack is going to be the second song of the album. you need to react to Monochrome next. that was released after Divine Attack. Babymetal can never be put into a box since they do so many different genres and mix with their own take to make it theirs. their live shows in Japan are off the chart with production. glad to see you have realized that part of Babymetal. it is not just one part but the whole thing together makes Babymetal like no other band out there period. this was the opening song to their shows last month. how many bands do you know that would sacrifice 1000 or so tickets to have the stage like this so that everybody gets a good seat? the band was on the stage opposite of the thrones. the center section raised and lowered. talk about the three thrones. those things were so badass and with Su sitting on her throne like the Queen she is. one correction. Babymetal does not do the devil horns but their sign is like the shadow fox sign. that all started when they were being told about metal and they were shown the horns but they kept doing the fox sign and it stuck. now the fox sign is exclusively for Babymetal and their fans. Su turned 25 last December so yes her voice is a lot different than when she was 12 when Babymetal was formed. dont know what other songs you have reacted to but to me this later stuff shows how mature the band has got.

Baby metal only does stadiums in japan and when they travel they do small venues like theaters. Thats why when they sold out the forum in Inglewood CA it was a big deal.
If you guys enjoy Babymetal, you should check out Broken By The Scream if you haven't already done so. Two of the vocalists do the normal idol pop singing that you would expect from most Japanese music and then they have two other vocalists who do screams and growls. Also the songwriting for their stuff is a lot more technical at times than that of Babymetal.
I really doubt broken by the screams songwriting is even close to as tecnical as some babymetal songs (Tales of the Destinies for example)

More mainstream sound on the new album. I am fine with that and hope it brings in more people who will eventually enjoy their more interesting work.
Even if it's possibly not for me. They've already made plenty for me and I appreciate that. I do really want to see what they do with the younger girls and their older songs. I think that could go somewhere really cool.
