What an excellent review, every little detail you could want to know as a potential buyer, correct data and a charming host to boot. Amazing work! The car itself is really without an equal in this price range, and it is a great shame that Daimler chose to not continue with the E Coupe / Cabriolet and opt for the CLE, which will once again be based on the C class (but charge E class money, no doubt). The only thing I find questionable is the fact that most people would chose the diesel engine, which although very sophisticated, still is loud and not as buttery smooth as the excellent petrol engines. Maybe the UK is different in that regard to where I'm coming from, but I would never buy a convertible as a diesel.
I was rather sad that there was no mention of some rather important matters like, noise levels with the roof up or what is that new 2 litre diesel engine like to drive. Is it as rough as the old one? Is it powerful enough in a heavy car? All those words but basic fundamentals for a review missing
I think i commented on the shorter version of this when you released the video years ago. By the time this video came out Mercedes had stopped offering most of the options you spoke about. My wife’s car was built in Jun 18 and we only just got away with air suspension. We couldn’t get any flowing gloss wood trim, only black ash etc. Basically from mid 18, it was carbon copy AMG Line cars with Premium or Premium Plus pack or not at all 🙁
