Great win from hawthorn from a north fan they looked done for after they were done by 31 points then they came back great game from hawthorn and Carlton you played alright too just got unlucky 🙂 good job to both teams 👍👍

So pleasing to see the attacking style coming back into the Hawks play. We're so damaging when we take on the game and reward hard running. Nice to see a few frees rewarding the tackler too.
That umpiring in the first half
1-8 in the first and 11-5 overall
And in the second half they 13-16 so not as bad but they definitely favoured us in the second half
Sick of people thinking the free kick count is meant to be even... its not meant to be even... if the ump thinks the free is there he/she will pay it

Judging by your logic, once a team has conceded a certain amount of free kicks they can just do whatever they want because the umpires will stop paying them and pay them to the other team to make it 'fair'?

Carlton were very foolish for thinking they would win this game easily. People forget that Hawthorn have already beaten Brisbane and Richmond this year. Hawthorns form has been scratchy, they are not the team they once were but on their day they are capable of giving anyone a spanking, just look at the last 2 years for proof of that. Hawthorn a real jekyll and hyde team, I don't expect them to win the flag, but they will leave a few scars on other teams thats for sure.

@@filthyproductions7781 the angle wasn't good from the cameras, they showed a really quick one of the ump's view and its was clear breust got an elbow to head as he was getting tackled, it was why it took him a while to get up, a bit dazed

I don't think he realizes that even when you win in the afl you still look at the mistakes you made and work on them. Teams don't just lose and that will make them instantly better.
Last 6 weeks Hawthorn were terrible, and they were at the point on making some major moves, now because they beat a tired Blues outfit all that goes out the window.

Even then teams still asses what they did wrong and practice and work on even the best teams. That's one of the most obvious things every team does is work on what they're bad at even after a win it's something people do even in junior footy after a win. That's like the stupidest thing I've heard anyone say. What's your suggestion that they lose the game or something.
