This video shows the ability to use PC speakers for Doom while using the Chocolate Doom port. Video made for this wiki: www.chocolate-doom.org/wiki/i...
I used to play doom 2 with sound like this back in 90s. In 2000s and 2010s i still play with sound like this. Sounds very nostalgic and fit with the graphic 😂
Thank you very much for this. This is how I played Doom 2 for the first time at 9 years old. Please do another video where you shoot the supershotgun and the plasma rifle! I can still hear them in my mind. It would be awesome to hear them again.
Looking it up on the /idgames Archive, there is this WAD that can be played on any port for Doom that you might like www.doomworld.com/idgames/sounds/pcspksim
@@OwlGal thank you very much. I will definitely check it out. When I was a kid, I didn't have a sound card in my computer and it was like that. Nostalgia. I subscribed :)
@@papasmurf205 not really. I had a soundcard back in 95 that came with my computer that for some reason Doom doesn't want to work to output both music and SFX. Tried all the settings, but in the end only the PC speaker can make noises. I was a kid back then so getting a new soundcard isn't possible. Looking back, I think running Doom from CD might have something to do with it. I can get the voices in ROTT to work, but not the music, so I substituted the music by playing audio CDs in the drive. They used to come with play buttons on the bezel back then.

Interesting subtitles there...

Yes I was one of those people. Had one of those Disney Sound Source systems which was a complete joke. Of course Disney sucks so no surprise there.
