As a trim carpenter, I use this stuff all the time. Accellerant on one piece of trim, CA glue on the other. CAREFULLY join them together and it holds instantly. Very useful in certain applications
really? Now that is interesting. I was afraid that any close contact, even fume, would cause the glue to harden. If I can do what you describe... that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks.
If you need a little time for alignment just glue on one surface, align, then spritz kicker along the joint…capillary action will take care of the rest.
An accelerator for super glue is a god send. Unfortunately, no hardware store seems to carry it. I always have to order it online. Which isn't a big deal, but when the accelerator runs out, it sucks to have to wait for the accelerator to ship.
As an aside you can pre-apply the kicker to one half of your part when you are ready to put them together so it takes less hands. Also if done that way you have the option to apply it with a swab or other dabbing device so it doesn't spray all over.
Really? Americans have only just discovered this? Don;t you gte Mitre fix kits there? A large bottle of superglue that comes with a can of "kicker" or activator as we call it

Use Mitre Bond. Industrial Strength Cyanoacrylate Superglue that comes with an activator and can be used on just about anything!
I will certainly give it a try. 😀

Yea, I ordered from amazon. I wanted this specific bottle and amazon was easy enough.

Yea, another guy mentioned that in the comments. Excellent advice! Thanks.
Interesting. I didn't know that was a thing
Nor did I. Geez, all the struggle over the years using minute epoxy and such... This is so much more painless.
human sweat or face oil also works. and its always hand. haha
Now that is a fact! Not to mention how well water works! Lets not try to wash our hands when we have CA glue on them!

This was all invented in America actually. :)
