Beatitude 5 - An Object Lesson on, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy."

🚁Beth offers an Object Lesson for Kids on the 5th Beatitude which is Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. The verse we are looking at is Matthew 5:7, and the story told as an object lesson is adapted from Jesus's Parable of the Unmerciful servant, found in Matthew 18:21-35.

1) What does it mean to be merciful?
2) What will happen to people who are merciful?
3) Has God Shown us mercy? How?
4) How can we show mercy even when it's hard?
5) Don't forget to look up the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant, in Matthew 18:21-35. Read it with your kids and talk about how it is similar the story from today's lesson.
