Also Lee Seokhoon is from SG Wannabe but he joined after Saldaga was released so he’s not the original singer Objectively, they both had amazing vocal control and emotive performances. However I think the king edged out Cupid in dynamics. Cupid’s vocal tone (while very beautiful) stayed the same throughout the performance whereas the king’s one changed drastically hence gave the performance more impact. If you’re still unconvinced, know that all but one of the celebrity panel (the one being someone who always votes against the current king no matter the performance) voted for the king, and I’m pretty sure they have the most objective votes
the song is really really really popular. Its included in the 3rd album of The Kim Gun Mo which also happens to win the 1995 Guinness World Record for the best-selling album of all time in South Korea, up until 24 years later. :)
