Would you like to hear a depressing tale? I had a bartending job that started every day just as The View came on, and because some manager wanted it playing on the TV, I had to listen to the whole show while doing the prep work in the bar every day. While I was stocking bottles and polishing brass, I would listen to these horrible women screech about the election, and call people racist and sexist, and kiss up to celebrity perverts.
Here is the depressing part: the election was Bush v. Gore, 24 years ago, and they are still getting paid to vomit their hate on TV.
Yet point at others SHOUTING "They're spouting hate! And we need to STOP THEM FASCIST NAZIS!!!!🤬🤬🤬"

The show is always on in my work breakroom without fail. Just happy I can mute it and nobody has said anything to me yet.
I think half of their audience might be people who hate them but are watching for laughs, and that's why they are still being kept on TV.
But when you think about it, if so many people are willing to be entertained by hatewatching literal garbage, it's no wonder why modern entertainment is garbage as a whole. We get what we are willing to accept as a society...

I would say art is the expression of something, design is the process. Advertising and propaganda are the I guess a desired application of both? Almost 50, I remember when this kind of discourse was encouraged in Collage University (SR School keeping largely away from politics back then). Discourse where you'd watch or read totally opposing pov, and then be encouraged to discuss. The aim being to build conversational & language skills & to get an understanding of the world of politics & political philosophy; & most importantly Critical Thought. Learning to have Dane reasoned discussions with those whom developed opposing pov etc; long gone are those days. Only one way to think is allowed now, sane discourse is actively discouraged now; has been for years now. We see this in thought policing and speech Censorship everywhere now. Breaks my heart that, largely, generations of the last decade or more will be functionally retarded in communicating.. gods knows interpersonal skills have all but died off already.

No one sane claims Trump is perfect, but the US isn't a monarchy either. The issue is twofold, that there are too many fanatics that force the hand of voting for the lesser of two evils, and secondly that a vote for none of the above is unavailable. If the people choosing not to vote were counted as a vote for the non, then we wouldn't see any of our current options. The US isn't split 50/50 at all, the actual split is more like 40% unaffiliated, 25% R, 25% D, 10% other.
