Enjoyed the video and I'm going to make the dip! I really liked watching Father John cooking in the kitchen with Paula, please have him visit more. And I always enjoy watching Eddie cook, maybe he can make more of the dishes his mother made growing up. Thanks for making these videos, it is a bright spot in my day!! :)
Loved this episode! Father John married me and my wife at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Albany way back in 1986. It was good to see him again!
What does Claudia not like in mayo--it's just oil, egg and lemon juice with a pinch of salt. It's basically a sauce. I can eat Duke's mayo with a spoon! It's not sour like yogurt and sour cream. If you hadn't told her it was in there, she would've loved it.
Because she doesn't the way Paula doesnt like goat cheese.
I can't believe people are making a deal out of it.

Doc Martin! Come on Paula! That has been a timeless brand that was super popular in the 90’s but more decades than that! Bless Father John’s heart he is like a new baby trying to walk with his cooking skills but if we started trying to offer liturgy/sacrifice of the Mass then I am sure we would have some issues! He also hurt himself from the heat and probably the spice/picante from those Jalapeños!

Wow! Just read the comments, I thought watching; Great entertainment! Father John really truly has an interest in cooking, blending the ingredients so well led to a perfect dip. Just a hoot, so sad people took time to be “the critic” & not revel in learning the best Super Bowl dip. A unique fun food which I imagine few have had & it’s Served Hot! Im the exact same as Claudia with mayonnaise.
I didn’t grow up on a farm-quite the opposite-but we did have chickens in the backyard.
And I was the one who collected the eggs.
And I don’t know if we were doing something wrong or if this is always the case, but eggs come covered in something not so pleasant. I was about 8 years old and didn’t know what I was doing. I guess my parents washed them off after I brought them in.
But I would not eat anything after that where I could see eggs in it. Then because these were fresh eggs, they had such a strong flavor you could notice the taste in things like waffles, etc. They had a really deep color and very strong taste. So I even stopped eating all baked goods with eggs.
Now, I have a don’t-ask policy. There are things that probably have eggs in them, but if I don’t know, I’m OK and just eat it. But things like mayonnaise where it’s just egg and oil mixed together-that’s a no go.
And I do the exact same thing with substituting sour cream.
Pimento cheese is amazing on burgers!!!!!!

Paula I know you hate goat cheese and yes from the store it’s awful but we have dairy goats and it’s way better homemade when we make it it don’t have a goat taste it’s really good and the milk is delicious as well we do a lot with it and we love you girl and can’t wait too try this recipe

I just have a problem with people turning up their nose and going on and on about what "THEY DISLIKE " Graciously say I don't care for for mayonnaise. Most people could care less about what anyone else likes. Especially if you go on and on about something. Father John was so graceful and focused. She actually act like the video should focus on her dislikes and that is not the first time. I like the show and the family.

Claudia is from another culture, show some tolerance. Having travelled extensively, like myself, that's what you do. I'm from the UK and now live in the US and I still boggle at the US and their ways but ignore it if I don't like it.

I got my first pair of Docs when I was in 7th grade... 1997! They never go out of style!!
I got my first pair in 1974. I still wear DMs today! I get the handmade in England ones, though, the original and best. I think my current pair will outlive me!

So, I'm trying to think of my hard-line with food...what is that one thing I just hate and will not abide. Well, there's not many foods that I won't at least try, but I would say my hard-line is sea cucumber (which is actually an animal). I just don't care for squishy cold raw animal dishes.
But, I bet if I came across a cook who is really into sea cucumber and who presented and prepared that in a magnificent way, I might just like it.
So, when food is properly prepared, I don't think I really have any hard-lines.

The triplets were born like 2 months premature and all three had to stay in the hospital for their first four months.

The one item that I just won't eat is raw onions. I use alot of onions in cooking, but raw no no.
I hear ya. Try finally sliced green onion, especially the white part. Savory without the bite of regular onion. Really good in egg and tuna salad.

I used to wear doc martens back in the 90s. They don’t look as cute on me anymore. Definitely not as cute as Claudia. The one food I hate is zucchini. The smell, taste, texture. Gross.

Also, if you don't like store bought mayonnaise (like myself), you could easily just put in a healthier unrefined oil of your choice and one egg to replace it with (a pinch of mustard and splash of vinegar if you wanna be real precise).
