Stephen Jenkinson in conversation with @BanyenBooksSoundVancouver, sharing wisdom from his new book, 'A Generation’s Worth: Spirit work while the crisis reigns'. Book available at www.banyen.com/ and orphanwisdom.com/
In this conversation, Stephen Jenkinson addresses questions about vaccines, mass hysteria and conspiracy thinking, ecology, aging and elderhood, hope and being hope free, and more. Stephen Jenkinson has described A Generation’s Worth as "something of a plague document... dispatches from the front lines of a strange occupation undeclared." What does a life’s work mean in a time of undoing? A Generation’s Worth sets out to learn liveable answers. Dying and death, love and matrimony, money and soul, aging and elderhood, drawn through the eye of a pestilential needle: this is the spirit work, and that is the crisis.
Stephen Jenkinson, MTS, MSW is a spiritual activist, author, ceremonialist and farmer. Stephen teaches internationally and is the creator and principal instructor of the Orphan Wisdom School, founded in 2010. With Master’s degrees from Harvard University (Theology) and the University of Toronto (Social Work), he is the author of several books including the award-winning Die Wise: A Manifesto for Sanity and Soul and Come of Age: The Case for Elderhood in a Time of Trouble. Stephen is the subject of the National Film Board of Canada feature length film documentary, Griefwalker. orphanwisdom.com/

What a powerful interview!! I want to give a shout out to Ross for his pace and tone... I have seen other interviews of Stephen (usually by people of roughly, I'm guessing, the same age as Ross) and they are so quick to move on to the next, the next, the next, and very little, if any space is given for the words that have been shared to even settle. Stephen is an absolute necessity at this time, he is calling us to the work we must each undertake if we are to even have a tiny inkling of the responsibility and opportunity in these times. Thank you so much for having this interview.

As this master truth teller sums it all up "What matters is if we are willing to live and behave as if what is happening is happening". I feel beaten up by honesty. He makes an extraordinarily powerful case for opening our eyes and waking up.

(1:07:08-1:07:28) "education is the willingness to engage deeply UNWELCOME things about what you know."
Looks like we're in for some advanced education.

As a white European ancestor being, I found an empty history as I became an adult. I am now 80 years old and 20 years ago I found this idea from a shamanic cultural teaching. I am a human and as a human I am a determiner. Not a free will individual rather a determiner of the very future of this world. From the time that I heard this teaching it took two or three years just to get a handle on it. Now as I listen to this interview with Steven jenkinson my idea of my being in this world is even stronger to accept that I determine the very outcome of life on Earth. Radical ayy?
