- Packing my hospital bag a bit early! I forgot to mention I had a obgyn appointment a couple days ago and I was starting to dilate... hoping baby will stay in for a couple more weeks!

Just bring extra socks, hats and long sleeves because it’s always cold in the hospital! Yes it’s Florida but the hospitals are meant to be cold so “germs don’t stick”. Also babies are typically cold rather than hot.
also! bring everything from the hospital, take those nose plungers things, all that stuff for the baby esp the blankets they wrap the baby!

You should order some ice pads off of Amazon for at home, the frida mama perennial foam, and order a bidet attachment for your toilet it works so much better than the spray bottle they give you. Pack snacks and a large water bottle as well. Also when you go to the hospital if anyone gives you an off vibe or puts you in any type of distress have them replaced by another staff member. Your mental wellbeing is just as important as your physical.
She's had surgery and pregnancy and she's 2 yrs younger than me and I cant even pierce my ear without fainting

When I was a new mama, I wish someone told me to bring a post partum belly band to keep everything together especially just in case god forbid you have an emergency c section. (Ended up getting one for my 2nd pregnancy) They are amazing, also get yourself one of those cheap packs of cotton pantries by Hanes or fruit of the loom. Also dry shampoo spray cause you might be too exhausted or in pain to shower. And bring yourself a hair tie ! If you’re planning on pumping, bring your pump or a haaka if you have one, you can always pump colostrum the nurses will save and give to Elijah to feed baby so you could sleep. Good luck and remember your affirmations when in labor !!

Bring what you think will make you comfortable, as a first time mom I’m glad I over packed because it’s always best to be prepared no matter what. Good luck girl you got this!!
I loved watching your pregnancy from the beginning at the same time my mom has been pregnant which I wasn’t fond of it at first because I’m 13 years older then the baby(also do in may) But your journey has helped me see the bright side and understand that my mom loves being a mom.
The hospital honestly has everything you’ll need. It’s nice to pack things that you like though because it makes you feel more comfortable and prepared.

Hi Kayla!! My mommy tip is to avoid future stress by organizing your baby items by size! I was always getting random sizes of clothes and it was all so confusing and overwhelming. Once baby grows out of one size all you have to do is take out the next bin with the next size up!

TIP!!! Incase you didn't know, if you go to a fire department they can install the car seat for you! Im not sure if its just where I live but my family informed me so im sharing it with you all! If you already installed the. car seat you can still take it to ensure its correctly on.
Bring some type of folder or notepad! They may give you lots of papers and pamphlets for vaccinating the baby. You’ll want a place to keep at that without losing them
I’m really excited for you... becoming a mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me . The hardest part is learning all the changes to everything about your life . And then one day you wonder how you ever enjoyed life before you had your baby ❤️
