- Here is the great French ballerina, and superstar nite-club chanteuse Zizi Jeanmaire in her signature role of CARMEN. Choreographed for her by her husband choreographer Roland Petit, both were icons of the French ballet and Music Hall world's. Jeanmaire also appeared in several 1950's high profile Hollywood films co-starring with Bing Crosby, Mitzi Gaynor, Donald O'Conner, and Danny Kaye.

When I went on holiday to Paris in 1971, there were posters everywhere advertising “Le veritable Zizi”, and my mum had to explain to me who Zizi Jeanmaire was. This is the first time in the intervening almost half a century that I’ve seen Zizi dance: now, at long last, I understand what all the excitement was about!
Then you must look at this whole film, BLACK TIGHTS, I posted. She does two complete ballets. This and opening one.
So exquisite and sensual!! My favorite version ‘Carmen’ . i turned the DVD grey… Thanks Roland Petit & Zizi Jeanmaire ❤️❤️

Это другая Кармен: кокетливая, соблазняющая, завлекающая , играющая в мужчин. Кармен Плисецкой -это страсть и гордость.
Мне нравятся обе.
@@user-wn3gm5nr4q возможно, но после Плисецкой на эту смотришь как на недоразумение, даже с отвращением. Но дело вкуса.
