In our bathroom builder has given window for air ventilation with glass louvers and exhaust fan. Cut out for exhaust fan is given of size : 8.5" x 8.5 ". Which sized fan we can fit in this cutout?
6 inch size but 6 inch has a frame size of 7.5inch so may you need to put a board first and cut a hole in it ...if in market you can find an exhaust fan with a 8.5 inch frame it would be perfect but it's hard to find

About the part where the guy hold up a smoke-stick... use rubber-foot for stools (noise reduction thingy) and screw-bolt inside the rubber-thingy to have gap between the ceiling and fan so that the blade(designs) will be slightly exposed to air from sides. If too powerful + if not powerful = still no smoke escape and maybe no ceiling shake
