Since I saw your documentary on netflix it changed my way of living totally and in an unexpected way. Your books are also a balm for those who want to live better with less, and food and health are one of the foundations of a simpler and more meaningful life

Whenever I crave sugar I try to occupy myself with a task immediately. The more I cut my sugar intake the less I crave it.

The thing that makes me so annoyed about bad food like sweets is that we know that it's bad for us and our kids yet every holiday is about glorifying the foods we aren't supposed to eat! It sends mixed messages to our kids. Not to mention the grocery stores full is junk!

With regards to circadian rhythms, are we "naturally" suppose to be awake and working more in the long days of summer, and resting in the shorter days of winter?

I would say so. I think of it like you are more likely to be burning energy to stay warm and alive, so you aren't going to also want to be rushing around.

I have a problem with making simple choices, that includes taking care of my health. When I chosen to step away from what I am being involved in, just to take care of myself, several issues come up and everyone I know thinks that only I can deal with it. And no matter how much i retreat from the situation, no one listens to me saying no and keeps shoving the issues onto my shoulders. This has caused my health to plunge downward and wind up with burnout repeatedly.

Great listen while doing cardio! What I took away is that our eating choices are the INSURANCE for our body. Yes organic or healthy choices may be expensive at times; but they're cheaper than medical treatments and medication.

You guys have really outdone yourselves here! What another FABULOUS topic!
I want to be a Patreon subscriber, but I'm using it as a goal: I can pay the money to be one, when I'm out of debt and have my home in order.
I'm using the dining room clutter collection as my demon to slay, to enter Patreon. :) Hope there is space when I get there. :)

Love. Love. Love. What you stand for & what your doing about it today. I am downsizing everything. It ain't for sissies. I am trying to cut out sugar (not easy) & carbs. TOUGH. Trying to be mindful of moving more, exercising, stretching. I can do better, but I'm understanding more about my body & more about my relationship with food. It's a journey, for sure, but I'm worth it.

My mother's pet peeve: My 135# mother getting told to eat healthier and lose weight from an obese nurse or physician. 🤣 She would leave the clinic with flames coming out of her ears, she was so mad!

She also once said to a doctor, and mother had a weird sense of humor, so bear with me on this, "You told me to lose weight. I thought cancer would be the best way." Then she laughed. 🥴 That was my mother.

For women watching: I've found this tip 14:00 isn't that effective for women, men function on a circadian rhythm, women function best on a monthly cycle. Look it up, it's worth researching
