My first 145Alive event. As well as Stu, I worked the Cornwall net on Kitt Hill and the Riviera net in Torquay. Also worked the Isle of White, a couple of Welsh stations inc Newport and Cardiff, heard Alderney nice and strong and could also hear the Shropshire net on Cleve Hill although I couldn't work them. All on my 5/8th mobile whip on the car. Next time, it's a mast and a yagi!! 😁
Hi Stuart, it was a pleasure to co-chair with you yesterday on 145 Alive, glad I was able to be of some help. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next one. So if you fancy sharing the chair again next time around I'd be glad to assist. I will improve my RX capabilities for next time as I'm aware of several stations that could hear me but I couldn't hear them. All the best for now and 73s , Dave G1NNR
Thanks Dave you saved the day, I really enjoyed it as it wasn't too busy but busy enough to keep us entertained and not rush things for two hours. I actually think it was better my not being on high ground as it avoided wasting time with long distance callers that none of the locals are ever going to hear, it forced us all to work together to make the contacts. I may chair (with your help) the next one from home too, but as with you make sure I have the station to do it :) Thanks, Stuart

Ah, I could hear you from South Devon IO80CH. You were R5S1 on my mobile whip. I did call, but I wasn't strong enough for you to hear me over others calling in. Next time I'm going to get a yagi on a mast!
@@G5STU it’s ok no problem got the subscription if you get it uploaded I’ll pay in full. Is there a way to transfer QRZ log book to station master and have it add the logs to QRZ too?
Reminds me of the time I drove 30 miles to a high spot only to find I had left my microphone at home. Doh!😩
