You're back! 😁 Blown away indeed. A bit of spit and polish and this would be ready to go. The unobstructed views...amazing. The inside space is great too. Thanks for all the gems you find, Dave.🏘
CROCHET! They're not knitting, they're crochet doilies. Thought I'd finally tell you as you've said it a few videos now. Thank you for all your wonderful tours. Hope to meet you one day.
This is a wonderful home in a very nice city. I do love the layout. Whether You move the kitchen and have the second bedroom where the kitchen is now or keep it as is. is a personal choice. Love the terrace, Love the view. Wow. Very impressive. Great price.
It seems that most of the UA-cam realtors I follow always manage to "forget" their torches - why on earth they can't get the pocket sized but super powerful ones that are available now befuddles me. They'd be furious if a workman showed up at their home without the proper tools, yet they merrily go forth to film these videos without the proper tools of their trade ...
It's lovely, lots of potential😊 You just have too see beyond all the clutter. I actually like the stairs, with another or no carpet, light and cool feature; could be a great room. The terrace is the big selling point of course❤
Dave I love it truly, it’s perfect & tons of ideas including your suggestions. Thank u bunches as always & hope to see u or Italy next year & hopefully both, on one of your tours, would love to think this property is still available in early 2025??? Wishful thinking, enjoy whats left of summer 💜🤗
David can you share how you went about learning Italian? When you showed us the palazzo I thought the Christmas tree was ceramic, but now I see it’s crocheted granny squares!
This one has great potential, I love it. The terrace has plenty of space for a good sized kitchen garden - using the green fencing as a trellis, and still plenty of room for a bbq and generous outdoor dining. Thinking about parking, I'd see if the person who owns the part below the kitchen would sell, then have the ground floor part of it made into a garage (with a dumb waiter to bring groceries up to the kitchen). The huge cantina is certainly large enough to make a beautiful separate apartment, or a traditional wine cellar/cold storage/ summer kitchen/ casual entertaining space, or any sort of creative space one could imagine First though, I'd definitely want a reputable engineering firm to "earthquake proof" the structure!
Need an architect and engineer to take a look at the place. The bottom, uh, basement levels are screaming 'kitchen'. The cracks in the laundry bridge are screaming that the extension is going to collapse away from the house (to a layman's eyes). Second bedroom needs to lose some space to a hallway between it and the bathroom so that you can access the roof terrace w/o needing to access the second bedroom. Otherwise, the place resembles a rabbit warren.
We would leave the kitchen where it is (Cooks deserve a good view and a terrace to cool off on). But, for guests, we would screen off a section of that huge living room for them. The Cantina? Music/Recording/Composition Studio 🙂
Well, I think you hit another one out of the park. One of my main criteria is 2 full baths, and that lower floor half bath could easily be converted. I would NOT change the layout, it would be a great room and a large eat in kitchen. No offense, but a lot of stuff gets left behind in these Italian places, and when I look at a video like this, I'm thinking...this will go, and that will go...just saying, there's a lot of room once some of this stuff gets taken out. And I would have some plans for that great terrace as well...thanks for letting an American grandma live vicariously through your video, You're the best.
Although I am not looking to buy a place in Italy, I really enjoy your videos as they help me dream and get my creative juices going. I look forward to each one as they come out. And you are such a fun tour guide. I really enjoy your comments and suggestions. I can’t help reply to this one. If a person had a budget, I would consider moving that staircase from the middle of the room to the side. Also, because of that large upper terrace I would be curious if the whole second floor could be opened up ( with the staircase moved) to have the kitchen/dining/living room up with that large terrace. Might as well spend the most time where the views are! And then I would see about making the main level into 2+ bedrooms with possibly 2 onsuite BRs. Finally I would see if the lower level could be used as a large family/tv room connected to the main level. Of course a girl can always dream. 😀
What a beautiful home. Do you have anything that can explain the process to possibly buy this home as a vacation home and still be full time living in the USA? I know that there have to be some sort of must dos. This is a great place a bit of cleaning an dusting and it is good to go. I think your idea is a great one about the master where the kitchen is..
I would not remove the fencing from the terrace. It was probably put there due to a close call of an accident, and it's there to protect kids or pets or people from falling over the low wall.
wow, what a great property. The front needs a total restoration, but to be expected. unfortunately the whole street needs love on a serious scale. the wife would take one look and say no. I suspect. you want the worst house on the block for price, and then bring it up to standards. But all that aside, it a marvelous house. Like you, I'd see if the kitchen could be moved and redo that room up for a master bedroom. We're old and might not be able to make stairs sometime in the future.you could easily live on one level in that house. That raised terrace is . . . . whats the word? Oh, Stunning. I'd put a small outdoor kitchen out there with a grill. leave that bedroom alone. I'd need to work in a bathtub someplace. Then you hit me with the bonus room. the cellar workshop ahaaaaa so great. I loves this house. and then its well under 100,000 too. so doable. if only my wife would say yes. and Polombaro is such a nice town. the views are . . . .oh yeah, STUNNING I want it for sure. Thanks for torturing me again.
Front facade just needs stripping of plaster on upper floor and cleaning old paint off lower level, light sandblast and repointing for a traditional rustic look. Otherwise, plaster lower level leaving stone around doorways and paint plaster in a vibrant color like all the buildings across from park seen at beginning. The street looks old since this part of town is more than a few centuries old and a lot of the places are just used for holiday homes in Summer and they don't care what exterior looks like. If the large Palazzo across street is revitalized, would expect quite a few more places along street will be bought by foreigners and "fixed up".
No u just have to pay the higher transfer tax when u buy it(9% vs 2 or 3% which is also the case if it is a second "holiday," home,,). One of the Q&A sessions has all the details which can be looked up in the library.
That kitchen is a bit dated but declutter and you could keep it clean easier and you might be able to find things. Fact is the whole house is cluttered up. Easy to fix.
I think you could definitely turn the two story underside rooms into a separate apartment for income, but it might cost a pretty penny to get it built.
It’s hard for an outsider to understand what’s where in Abruzzo. The earthquake risk lessens dramatically as you move toward the sea and there is one spur where there’s less risk even inland. The weather is hard to understand because of the mountains, you can drive from winter to summer going downhill but I wouldn’t know how far up I’d like to live. Someone needs to create a good map of the area focused on the needs of retirees and expats! It’s so beautiful, it just needs to be easier.
Too large for a modern family and people with megabucks would buy one in Tuscany instead to hobknob with all their other rich friends. If it's been sold, would guess it's to a developer or rich investor who plans on creating a boutique hotel/wedding location with that large garden it has in back or into large condos/apartments split out from the huge rooms on each level around the central courtyard. They are doing the same with a large Palazzo in old part of Casoli across the valley.
It would be great to purchase the basement under the back portion as well. If it could be done, I’d make the back basement portion a bedroom and the front basement portion a cool wine room.
Really, Dave? A bat is trying to avoid you, and a bear is coming after you because you look appetizing. You never went into the lower part under the kitchen. Why not? I really hate glazed tile on the floor. It's so un-Italian. Ciao.
He said it belongs to someone else after he leaves the lower level under house. Would be good to buy that if available as it also has two levels judging from view at lower road and could possibly even open up a garage there off of lower road like the adjacent property has.
@@angelomasciantonio That's really bizarre. They sold the top floor to the neighbor to build a bridge to it with a bath and converted the top floor to a kitchen. I wonder if they still live in the bottom two floors? Thanks. Ciao
@@wernerdanler2742 no one lives in those lower two floors under kitchen - very few windows. Probably used for storage or empty. The upper floor may have just been inherited when parents/grandparents died and they bridged across to it or there may have always been a bridge and lower two levels were given to another brother/sister. Happened all the time in earlier times were there was one property but 3 or 4 kids to be divided amongst. Go back about one or two months to a property video in Casoli where it was split over 3 different adjoining buildings with different floor levels.
The teasing little games while showing is very annoying and I’ve notice is a recurring theme on your videos , is just fair criticism so I will take a break from this channel and come back later … maybe , I am a retiree who’s been to Italy many times and I am looking for properties
When are Italian real estate sellers going to learn to clear out their properties of all the old , ugly furniture - some of the cellars look like are full old , decaying junk....
You simply can't beat the views from that terrace. This property has so many possibilities.
possibilities = extra cost. But still a reasonable price
What a beautiful property! Thank you for taking time out of your holiday to show us, Dave! Now go enjoy your family!!! ❤
You're back! 😁
Blown away indeed. A bit of spit and polish and this would be ready to go. The unobstructed views...amazing. The inside space is great too.
Thanks for all the gems you find, Dave.🏘
I love to crochet, I can imagine myself having fun making some decorations,
Nice property with large rooms and a beautiful view 😻
I loved how he thought those decorations were knitted, such a "guy thing" 😊
CROCHET! They're not knitting, they're crochet doilies. Thought I'd finally tell you as you've said it a few videos now.
Thank you for all your wonderful tours. Hope to meet you one day.
I’m in love! Absolutely awesome property with so much potential. ❤❤❤
The Chef of the family deserves a wonderful view!!! Great property. Love it when they have a big enough terrace for entertaining.
Wish I could move today! Chills entire time watching!
Immer wieder ein Genuss die Präsentationen der Immobilien und der wunderschönen Gegend anzusehen - danke!

Stunning views! Nice property with lots of potential. Love the idea about moving the kitchen and making that a bedroom. Thank you for sharing!
Stunning views! So much potential. 1st order of business: move the stairs and open up the great room.
How anyone could think that was a good place to put them defies logic. I think the new boiler needs to be in that laundry room next door.
YES. Those stairs need to move ASAP. Wonder if you could relocate them along the wall in front of that window with the closed shutters....
They look like dream catchers that our indiginous people create. 🇨🇦
I could spend all day on that terrace 😍
So much space in a lovely town with the most amazing views.
I would definitely recommend changing some fixtures but otherwise just move in and enjoy.
Another one with great potential, Dave! Can’t wait until me and my wife visit for the tour in November❗️❗️❗️. Cheers from Northern Virginia.
Love you, Dave! Keep your torch with you!

I love the views and the 1980’d decor! Actually showed this to my wife who said it would mean living in Italy…yep, I think mentally we’re about ready
So what happened to the update on the palazzo?
Love this
Beautiful views! ❤
Stunning indeed thanks for sharing with god bless you
Beautiful
Good morning ⛅️ David and everyone giving the lord Jesus christ 🙏 to see another day of life 🙏
Those views! ❤❤❤

Would love to meet you next year if I come to Palombaro, it's quite short flight from England to Ancona/Pescara. Stunning view
The stairs seem to take up a lot of room. It may be an idea to move it.
Love the content Dave keep it up
To fix your torch situation maybe look at buying the light mod for the go pro

In the US, that knitted thing would be referred to as a crotchet doily.

Vegetable, flowers, herbs on terrace. I'd leave the fencing to trellis snap peas, grapes.
I think they did the wire around the terrace because they had pets. I would keep it there for my wiley critters.

All of that tile needs to go. And it needs a tub.
I agree about the bedrooms. Would love to have seen the room beneath the living room, the cantina. And what about the palazzo?

Like everyone else here, the view is simply stunning. My only concern would be my cats. I can just see them jumping off the terrace.
Why do I do this to myself, working today, looking at screens and this video drops to taunt me. 😂
America here. Can you give any data on properties, i.e. build date, taxes, back taxes.
David, it crochet not knitting and the round pieces are doilies 😊❤🇦🇺
Is this property available? I couldn’t find it on your website, but would be interested to learn more!

Hi, you did not tell us what happened to the other property, the palazzo??😢
Any idea how tall that 'middle' room in the cantina is?
Is it true that in order to purchase property for investment purposes, you have to apply for citizenship in Italy?

Let me know if you have anything between Pescara and colledimezo please
This property in Palombaro is between Pescara and Colledimezzo - bit closer to Colle
Do you know what is below the kitchen in the extension building? It looked like it was two floors high? Any chance of a garage?
Cost to heat? Cost for electricity?

I was waiting for him to tells us, I even went back through the vid to see if I missed it. I would love that house (multi family use)
I think the back part has serious structural settlement problem.
Saying huge is different from giving dimensions , even approximate ones.
The staircase is like the elephant 🐘 in the room 🤭
Nice views but these cracks look really very bad. Not easy to fix and this would take a lot of money.
👍👍🙋♀💜
We’ll, it ain’t the palazzo across the street!
Do you help with finding tradespeople who are trustworthy?
The word is crocheted 😅
Summer kitchen idea is awful. Leave as is.
The view is spectacular.
Looks and feels like an apartment in occupied Hungary during ww2
Lmao 🤣 😅
You have no idea how scary a bear confrontation is. Believe me, you'd rather have a bat jump out at you.
It would be great to purchase the basement under the back portion as well. If it could be done, I’d make the back basement portion a bedroom and the front basement portion a cool wine room.
subsidence
you (almost) never see cars and people in your videos, that could be good or not so good , demands what you demand ;-)
That’s a good thing. Less noise. No people. Quiet. Silence.
No shower or bathtub?? Eyes😮
Such a pity they modernised it and didn't try to keep the character. Great view though.
O problema é que essas cidades são mortas não se vê ninguém nas ruas😂
@suelydefatima772 you don’t know what you’re taking about.
