💯 Back when I rode the bus in middle school, they would let us wear hats. Older kid in the seat in front of me kept trying to take my hat off my head. I told him to stop twice, the third time I punched him in the mouth. They turned the bus around and took us back to school, they called my Dad and when he got there he told the principal "You might want to give that kid a hearing test because he obviously can't hear" 😂😂😂 Love my Dad and needless to say my hat never got messed with again

@@andrewbrakey6214 it also doesn't mean that we should do all of this OVERPROTECTIVE, calling ANYONE who has ever picked on anyone else a Bully, & trying to keep our minor children's emotional growth in the "Diapers" stage, either. Sure, I'll agree with you that we shouldn't promote, outright Bullying; as that gives some of these Narcissistic Sociopath minors, the impression that society desires for them to be a torrential tormenting on society & the people within. However, I still, absolutely agree with what Adam is stating. As I am on the VERY tail end of Gen X, & see what my generation has raised into society (from our offspring), I'm ashamed of my generation's "parenting abilities," overall. I'm not ashamed of my parenting abilities, because I wasn't about raising my daughters to be a part of this candy-coated, emotionally fragile, living in delusions, Leftists' Ideolog society. Yet, I'm only ONE out of a whole generation, who have, overall, failed at their parenting roles (as a generation), in not raising their children, prepared to face the Adult, real-life, world.

    • @BD-11B_OIF-1
      @BD-11B_OIF-1 Місяць тому +2

@@ccul8339 you're absolutely correct about that. Throughout Middle school things were pretty rough for me, as far as being, close to relentlessly, picked on. I was the 2nd or 3rd from the shortest kid in my classes, for 6th & 7th grade. Which, being a guy, that especially is bad news. Thankfully, for 8th grade, although still short, I had moved up to roughly, the top of the shortest 1/3rd of the class. However, as my testosterone started kicking in, during those early teenage years, I had become somewhat of a stocky (muscularly, not body fat) kid, as well. Between that, & just being tired of being picked on, I had developed enough gumption (or, what, in the Army Infantry, we always called 'intestinal fortitude') to where I had stood up for myself a couple of times. It only took those 2 or 3, initial times, of standing up for myself, for all of the other guys to leave me alone. Us, Gen X kids (despite us not being children anymore), were the last generation, overall, to understand basics of life being tough, as we grew up. At least half of my friends were 'latch key kids', with most of my friends having both of their parents (if they had both at home) working jobs to support the household.

She called Me and the girl I whopped to an office and gave us a choice of 3 hard licks by a board specially cut with holes in it, or a 3 day suspension? I took the whoopin with the paddle so she made the other girl take the same. She asked who's first and ole girl started crying. I said I would go first. I never shed a tear. 100 agree. My 14 year old son, who's small for his age had bully . He was over 6 inches taller and 40 lbs more. He ended up last week pushing my son. He tried saying he don't want to fight. Well that kid decides to swing at my son. He thought he would have a easy time beating his ass. Well he thought wrong. My kid did a right hook, landed a left and down his ass went. Our district has zero policy so both got suspended. My son came home upset thinking I'd be upset. Asked him did he start it. He said no. I'm like ok. I'm a firm believer that you stand your ground. Principal called. Talking about what happened. Told him I don't believe in fighting but he has a right to defend himself. Principal did state he might be much smaller but shit he has a great 1 - 2.
Only thing is he now can't go on his band trip to cedar point. But not standing up for yourself is a sure thing next year he would be again picked on. Don't think that's gonna happen now.

Many think I would have become predudiced or have a issue with black people but I'm not prejudiced and think racism is the dumbest thing there is. No. I was born in the 70s, I’m disabled, and I was bullied DAILY through all 12 years of public school, sometimes with physical violence. I learned how to fight, how not to be offended by everything, how to be tough and how not to rat people out, but I also learned that I can’t trust anyone, that authority figures don’t care about me m, and that there are no safe places for people like me. I stopped talking about it with my parents because they couldn’t do anything to stop it if the school wouldn’t cooperate. I ignored the signs of CPTSD well into adulthood because we didn’t believe mental illness and psychological injury are real. I ignored it until I almost took my own life in 2011. I’m a survivor, not a victim, but I WAS victimized. I don’t want bullying to come back. I wouldn’t wish that much suffering on anyone, not even the people who damaged me so irreparably.

I've been saying that for decades.
But, what needs to happen is parents need to teach their kids how to overcome (pass through) bullying. It's really difficult to figure out on your own. It's much better if someone tells (or at least hints) how to deal with it.
For me, it was my 8th grade bus driver. I'd say "pull up so I can get a running start. There's too many guys to fight!"
He'd say: "you'll figure it out!"
I'm like: "What's to figure out? "There's 10 guys going to beat me to a pulp!"
Hed say: "get out of the buss! Eventually, you'll figure it out."
Boom! One day, there were way more than 10 guys, and I was like: "Open up the door! Open up door!! Open it now!!
He delayed opening the door until I looked at him.
When I turned and screamed: "Open the f*cking door NOW!!"
He smiled and said: "I told you you'd figure it out!" Then he released several years of anger, hurt, fear, and shame on to that poor crowd.
I didn't get a scratch on me that day. I ran out and started dishing out biscuits with a vengeance. I hurt a few really bad. All the other guys took off running.
I felt like an idiot. For the years before that day, I took beating after beating after beating after beating after beating.
From that day on, I knew how to deal with the worst bullying could dish out, the brutal group beatdown.
It's better to die on your feet than live on your knees! But, if you stand up for yourself, you'll find it's so much better and even safer to deal with the problems, head-on!
Nip it in the bud early, and you'll save yourself a lot of torment!

I was bullied a lil bit, never bullied myself, but when I stood up for myself I almost showed what true boxing was meant to be. 1st time was 6th grade when a kid started talking bad about my mom, I gave 3 chances before I started hitting. Last one was 9th grade being hazed by a senior for 8 months in weights, lucky for him we may have exchanged blows he caused my face to swell, I broke his jaw but I was 120lbs to his 165. If my mom wasn't per say "starving" me my freshman year I would have been a solid 160-180. God has his own ways showing himself.

To an extent. Bullying never left. It just shifted. Treat people with respect and call out bullshit when you see it. Be a respectful bully. Disrespect will get you nowhere.

I think tough love is more important than bullying… we should respect our fellow human beings, but also point out where they go wrong to make them better. We don’t need to bully people to help them become better later on…

Dude man, pretty sure most of us grew up the same way , don’t encourage bullying, just encourage people to fight back against it and for it to stop it’s not a good thing. It’s a natural selection but glorifying it ain’t it bro. Humble and kind.

Adam if everyone around you is solid then why you seeking validation in people you dont see as valid……you will never change their minds so go use yours for your time n stop letting these things live rent free in your head…created struggles…you have it good. When I was 10-11 a kid in my neighborhood tried to bully me. We got into a fight and we’re friends ever since that fight. I didn’t go to my parents and say this kid is picking on me. I told him to stop and when he didn’t we had the fight. No one died, no one ran away crying. We became great friends the next day. I was new to the neighborhood at that time so he tried picking on the new kid. My dad always told me if someone hits you, hit them back.

I got into a fight sophomore year threw some blows lost drivers education privilege and sent to therapy school hence the bully didnt get nothing since i threw the first hits. Bus driver pulled the bus over while i was sticking him in the face. My dad had stage 4 cancer and i was bullied my whole life from elementary to hs. Zero tolerance for violence my mom was pissed at the district. fast foward im 30 years old and it made a good person for it. going through things in life makes you stronger STRENGTH IS WHAT WE GAIN FROM THE MADNESS WE SURVIVE. thats tattooed on my ribs with a semi colon. It did damage to me but i wouldnt be the guy i am today. I speak my mind and not afraid to speak up even as an adult. Lone wolves are usually quiet and dont mess with people but those are the ones that will strike hard once its over.😈i go places by myself sometimes i have to watch what i say i stand up for others even been in heat rising conversations. idgaf how many guys or if they are bigger GIVE RESPECT GET RESPECT went to a biker bar 3 blue collar workers running there mouths about someone i say you talk big game about someone go tell that person something they got fired up a bunch of bitches with no balls 😂
