  • Some people miss my Tobias bass, so I had to quickly do another short version of this song with my old Growler buddy.
    Which do you prefer? Warwick or Tobias? (I really like both)
    Thanks for watching!

    Cara vc e Brasileiro ??

    For this particular song I certainly prefer the Warwick... it just brings the killer bass line more to the foray but I suspect the Tobias could bring out a more rounded sound if it was adjusted differently - with less bass and more midrange, just like you had it for your other recording "Jamiroquai - Hooked Up (Bass) Test. As it is it just sounds too thick.

      tobias is a more versatile bass, but I love warwick low end, each person has their own preference of course, but both are really great instruments.

    Did you ever record the video of your settings used with this bass? We'd like to see it. How do you set the mid switches and how do you have the pan set between the two sides of the pickup? How do you have the bass/treble set for both sides?
    Thanks!

    I enjoy hearing both basses, but the sound of that particular Tobias Growler has something special that doesn't seem to translate to other basses.

    For this song I prefer the Warwick, more deep and "fat" tone...but of course it depends also on the eq, strings, amp etc...

    Amazing playing! Do you mind sharing how you achieve this nice warm sound? Just playing with the tone on the bass itself? preset? pedal? thanks :)

    • @ValterKabas
      @ValterKabas  5 років тому +1

      Yes, many people ask me about this topic, I can try to make a video demonstrating how to achieve that tone, the biggest challenge for me is speaking English, I'm ok typing, but my pronunciation is horrible.
