Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy watching you work and the finished results are really amazing! Congrats, this little tanker looks fantastic once you have finished with it!
Thank you. The thought was to do the makeover in one take, to show that it doesn’t need to take ages to weather your rolling stock. Hopefully it’ll inspire a few more to have a go
@@BuntersYard I'm not that brave currently, but who knows what the future holds! :D You are certainly a dab hand with an airbrush, and I'm so impressed with your results really.
Thanks Mike. I have quite a few of the TTA’s which are due to be repainted and liveried, but wanted to see what could be done with the standard plastic finish.
@@BuntersYard thank you so much. I'm new to the hobby. Although done plastic model kits for years. Haven't got round to trying powders yet. What's the best thing to seal powders in... Would a matt varnish work well?
@Trucker340 yes, a Matt varnish. I now use AK Ultra Matte which is premixed and very matte indeed. First coat very light ( don’t wash the powders off 🥴) and then a second coat
Love watching your work. It has given me the confidence to have a go with some of my older rolling stock. Can I just ask what the make of the airbrush is that you use? Thanks for the info.

Thank you. Very kind 👍🏼
Fan finish, love the effect 👍👏🏻
Thank you. I;m pleased that you like it
That looks so good what a transformation, a rake of them with a weathered loco would look the business
Yes. I think they’d look the part 👍🏼
Thanks for watching
You have a very good imagination and I like your knowledge of how to handle these things.
Thank you very much!
Great job!:)
Thanks! 😊
I'm learning a lot watching your videos, and that was an amazing transformation! Many thanks for the great work.

@@BuntersYard Be careful of splinters off that glass fibre brush, they can be nasty if you get one in your finger and difficult to see to get out.
Yes. Good point
It always looks scary when you start but the end result is 100 % 👍🏻
Thank you. Just need a little faith 🥴🙏
Would have pride of place on any of my layouts. Another fantastic transformation. Muy bueno, hombre. :)
Very kind of you to say so. Thank you. You might even find a free gift in your next purchase 😉
With the fiberglass pens, I find if I keep the amount protruding very short, it works better with a firmer pressure. Nice job btw!
Great tip! Thank you
Just picked up 3 of the ‘Gulf’ vision of these cheap off of the 2nd hand self. Going to see how well I can do replicating something like this 👍👍
Cool. The Gulf one look a little better to begin with, I think. Let me how you get on
Do you know of anywhere you can get replacement ladders for the ends??
Yes. From me!! 😁
I print them in resin
Email me at

and we’ll sort it out
😂😂 great stuff 👍
Great vid but always remember to wear eye protection when using a fibreglass pen. If the bits get in your eyes you are in big trouble.
Great point! Thank you
Looks fab
The yellow shell tanker was very plastic looking too.
Yes. I was about to do that one but I had more of the Texaco wagons so it won in the end
This is absolutely amazing. Just bought a rake of 15 tankers.
What is the last bottle you use please....the grease/oil.
Thank you. It’s AK interactive Shaft & Axle Grease. They do lots of other shades - oil streaks, grime etc
Good luck with your rake

@BuntersYard That is a great help. Again.....thank you so much.
Great channel BTW. Very helpful and informative. Keep up the great work. 👍

Can I just ask what the make of the airbrush is that you use? Thanks for the info.

Its a great airbrush and a good price too
Looks great needs a graffiti tag ,very nice job ,all the best 👍🏻😊
Good idea. Wish I’d thought of that 🥴

Its a track from Story Blocks called Hit the Road
@@BuntersYard Sounds very much like Mountain, but hey
I don’t know the track but I’ll have a look and listen out for it. 👍🏼
