I bought an old garden tractor..I am glad I did sure I had major repairs..being retired I needed something to do so why not..I bought an old plow for it too..no manual but I take lots of pictures..
Nice find, mine is a 73 & sometimes wish I had the 74 for the under the seat tank, but I’m glad I don’t, so swaps are easier w gravity feed. I wish mine had the 3pt tho.
I have never had one with the tank under the hood , but i wish i did!

Wouldn't dethaw be the same as freeze. Just say thaw. Nice to see these old tractors still in action.
That coil is very expensive here in BC. I bought a new 15HP china motor from Peavy Mart in Kamloops and my ST16 is alive again. Looking for a Blade now and I do like that 3 point hitch.

Oh that's a sweet impulse buy SP! I'd have to say it looks more like a 76 to me and it has a new old stock dash and nose cone which is nice! I only had 1 OHV Techy before but it was so shot I scrapped it so I can't give ya any tips other than throw a diesel on her. lol But nice find bud!
Parts to fix this motor is under 20 bucks , and I see they sell for a good bit running so I am going to try to spark up this old motor and see how she runs.
If I don't like it , I may even look into a Diesel Vtwin :)
I have that same engine.I think mine is a different year it is red and white.
I have a 12 horse that im working on for a guy and it had the same problem with the timing pin and its been a pain in my butt every step of the way! those coils are expensive. but i still dont have spark there is a wire that is bad somewhere but havent had the time to tear it apart.
A diesel conversion would be cool and still make it cut grass.
Mine is a 16/6 and it is blowing oil out on pulley side.
I Bought my 76' st/16 for $65 dollars. Everything works. I drove it once and then it stopped running. So now I need a new starter, haha. I guess a OG starter is due for a replacement! Do you guys think I got a Good Buy?
I paid $300 , Only paid that much seeing I wanted the mower deck and 3 point
I am in Canada and they almost NEVER come forsale.
Thats kinda crazy. The worth for the snowblower, three point hitch and the deck is probably what i would pay more for. We have a good majority for sale around me in Maryland. But all in all still a fairly good buy!

IF this coil ends up being bad , I am going to use a car coil setup on her.
It's a little bit of work but I seen it done b4.

My older brother who was 2 years older than me.
Had a head on with a Truck and Passed away
He was playing with his phone and driving.
SO ya.. Since then IF i am going to pick up my phone or Video i am going to make sure no one is around me.
