Probably for views and that they probably don't care. Just like how UA-cam somehow allows really questionable ads to be shown on the platform, I guess the same goes with that questionable godzilla content (or just anything sus), plus I doubt UA-cam even cares about the safety of children and what's being shown on UA-cam. Only if it's pointed out and reported directly to them would they actually take action. I don't think even the COPPA shit they said they'd apply back in 2020 did anything at all.

I remember watching the videos that had Godzilla earth going against the Mega Kaiju and that was way before it became full on elsagate
It is Elsagate, because i believe they starting popping up when Godzilla vs Kong came out, and even here in the Netherlands, where no one cares about Godzilla, there was a bit of hype for this movie. So they were published when Godzilla was popular worldwide.
There's only one damn reason: It gives them money.
Also, I remember when these channels had somewhat normal, acceptable content. They were lazily animated, but they were innocent battles and adventures. My question now is, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!?!

Do note that most if not all of the models in the “video” are traced from bunch of different channels.
My experience with the Godzilla suit incident didn’t really “Ruin” or “Traumatize” Godzilla for me, I actually found it pretty enjoyable, my childhood character, being in one the most disturbing analog horrors out there by the time. I get it if kids were scared, it’s pretty terrifying, I don’t know it didn’t affect me really, I just kept living on as a Godzilla fan.
(And yes, it’s a lot less *DISTURBING* than the “kid” animations…)
