Why my CPP from Poland is included in NET Income and my years of work in Poland are not include in OAS? MONEY is used and working time during which I worked is not considered for OAS. IS THIS FA£R ??
My ex is currently making $31,000 per year salary . She is collecting OAS and CPP but her CPP is a small amount and together she recieves $1100 per month . Her rent is $1190 so without GIS she can not retire . Does she have to live on the street for 1 tax year before collecting GIS benefits ? How can she collect it when she retires (as soon as possible) ? Her health is bad she need to retire now .
How come they don't have a simple chart. For example if you have an extra income on top of your Canadian pension, say 25,000, 50,000, 75,000 $100,000 per year do you get any guaranteed supplement income? For example my friend has real estate income I think about $90,000 per year would he qualify for GIS? If so how much would you get? I told him I doubt he would get very much if any but I could be wrong.

What about people who live alone, as they are separated, but not divorced.

Is the medical expenses reduce the income for GIS in Canada?
Thanks for the information.
Unclear here. If I receive 1,500 monthly (18000 yearly) from CPP and OAS only source of income, can a receive GIS? Thank you.
OAS is not included as income when qualifying for GIS.
