In this exciting and unique new series, Ustadh Nouman becomes the student and is joined by master Quran reciter, Qari Ibrahim Bakeer, who'll be teaching him the 8 different maqamat (melodic modes) of recitation.
Qari Ibrahim will sharing the unique characteristics and beautiful sounds of each maqam, and training Ustadh Nouman on how to find his own perfect pitch based on his recitation voice, and which maqam suits him best.

@@andhbhakht6444 hw sweet. If u really need best advice, i will say get a teacher. Go to a Quran class if anywhere around you so there will be more students doing hifz. Best, easy and enjoyable way to do hifz

Selamün aleyküm , I am so happy to find these Videos. Since many years I was wondering about the makams n the Koran recitation. I study music myself and later I spent years with learning the Markham system in Turkish music. But never I could find any videos explaining the connection between the surah and the choice of the Makam. Thank you very much.
I love to listen anyway to your videos and speeches. But finding this topic is mkaing me very grateful and excited in a academic AND heart way. ❤
P.s. I was also always wondering about the chosen makam for the different Ezan. Thru the chosen makam each Ezan has a different emotional effect on the soul. As a german Konvert i am so happy to live in Turkey and listen each day to Ezan...may be this could be another video topic for you (Ezan/Makam)
I have memorized many surah just only by listening the recitation of qari mishari rasheed Alafasi and could feel awesome feel through his style as well...Alhamdulillah

In this series, I think we will connect to the Qur'an in the fundamental level, like Allah says to us
﴿وَإِذَا قُرِئَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ فَٱسۡتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَأَنصِتُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ﴾ [الأعراف ٢٠٤]
So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy.
May we all receive mercy from our رب on us and may Allah accept from you the project

Maschallah. I always recite the Qur'an almost just by reading normally because I thought, it is difficult, it requires a beautiful voice and it is rather easier for men to recite it with a melody. But I have set myself a goal to recite it more beautifully in the upcoming days insha'Allah so that I can contemplate it better . Almost a month ago I saved a real of girl reciting Quran and making breakfast, I loved it and made an intention to memorise and practise recitation this Ramazan. Came across another video of Ustad Noman to start learning meaning of Quran and now this. Alhumdulillah Alhumdulillah Alhumdulillah a trillion times, Alhumdulillah. In classical Arabic language for example as in surah teen ,Teen here means place where abundant number of figs grow as told in tafseer by our ustadz. Similarly a person talks about quran,recite it, explain it,thinks and reflects on it can be called as "Quran".......I think I can call ustadz so..how many of u agree?..
