Ah, the days when shows were recorded via kinetoscope rather than video tape. Those dust marks & scratches on the film take me back to educational films when I was in elementary school.

Wow, what a charming and nostalgic presentation. I learned of Wild Kingdom after binging Johnny Carson's Tonight Show on YT and Pluto some years back, but didn't check it out until now (wished I caught Johnny live but I was a toddler when he retired). Marlin Perkins looks like my late grandfather to me. That, and the incidental music, the lovely sepia tones, and an uncynical curiosity reminded me of the best of his and older generations. The old comfort of watching TV at home after a day through the sun to work, school, or a trip to seeing extended family! The ethos of work to be done, a wide world not yet fully seen. Good stuff. Thank you for providing this classic
