Another thing from that episode. Apparently that was enough for master Torbin to literally end himself. Idk where all the horrible stuff he must’ve done was in the episode to make him drink poison.
If Torbin didn’t rush into the sanctuary then Sol wouldn’t have killed the witch and Indara wouldn’t have killed the whole coven of witches. The stress of this event weighed on him to the point where he got the closure from Mae and killed himself. That’s how I see it anyways 🤷♂️

He didn’t actually do anything in the fortress, apart from surviving a Jedi Wookiee attack. Indara killed the witches (though tbf they were so weak I don’t blame her.) and Sol was just stupid and forgot he was a Jedi and not still #456 leading everyone to think he mae was killed.

theory validated for me. I said that the witches would all be killed by Indara involuntarily because the spell creates a strong bond between them. Besides, Talzin seems to use the same ability as Talzin in Son of Dathomir. Qimir may not be a sith but a guy possessed by Koril because Sol says he seems to recognize Qimir outside he's not in the flashback.
only thing I cannot figure out is if that is true why was Qimir going to kill Mae? Even if she betrayed her (Koril) that's still her daughter. And the sexual tension with Osha would be too weird. They're probably going to have Koril be in control of whoever is Qimirs' master

So, I told myself that she organized her death to better maneuver in the shadows. I admit that in this episode, she really has a Sith side. However, I am forced to take into account this new information which is that witches can take possession of people. Since Sol says that Qimir's aura is familiar to him, this means that he recognized Qimir through Koril. Koril could be the one who saved and then trained Mae in the dark side. Qimir would then only be a collateral victim. Koril wanting to kill Mae isn't that logical? We're talking about a person who let the dark side take possession of them. It's true that the series has story problems, but a sith who seeks to kill the person he loves most, routine. Nobody, I hope I'm wrong and that there is a real Sith Lord in the area otherwise I think it's false advertising because the Promo talks about Acolyte and that's what makes the Fans angry. If there isn't a Sith Lord, all that for that

The only decent thing about this episode was Torban spinning his saber to deflect the blaster bows and the Wookie fight, and even the Wookie fight could've been better.

I actually liked the show up until now. But this episode was so fucking stupid and wastes the build up. I thought we were gonna have some twist with how it went down, and how the Sith were involved. But nope, a lamp blew everything up, Sol couldn't pull the girls to him, the padawan runs off to kidnap the girls, and the witches died....just because. What.. the ..fuck.

I'm not defending the show but I don't think they told the council that they found the vergence and when Indara told Sol that the council said no, her padawan asked "did they at least say we could go home." And Indara said no. So that's why he raced off on the speeder because they weren't going home

Why did Torbin end himself a decade later?
Not defending the Show, but Sol using the force to hold the bridge instead of the twins is just the metaphoric way of saying he needs to choose between May and Osha. Poorly written obviously, no doubt about that. But that has been all over Star Wars. For example in Episode 2 when Yoda was holding the big fuel tank thing at the end so it doesnt drop on Obi-Wan and Anakin. Instead of holding that thing he also could have just pushed the much lighter Obi-Wan and Anakin away and then continue fighting with Dooku instead of letting him escape. It was just a simple gimmick to display Yoda's immense power + a little nudge to Episode 5 showing that "size matters not".

So Theory cries when DIsney Star Wars deviates too far from George's vision, but when they mention a vergence is all of a sudden that's a bad thing? As if the idea of a vergence is limited strictly to Qui Gon? Also, the reason they don't leave the planet yet is because they sense the twins are in danger. It's not very Jedi of them to leave two girls who might be in mortal danger, is it? The council denied them to take the twins, which reflects their ignorance we see in the prequels which ultimately becomes their downfall.
There's a lot of simple things Theory's flipping over about in this episode which can literally be explained if he just listened to it. And on the material itself, he's been complaining how it deviates too far away from canon, but when they explore more of George's canon it's suddenly a bad thing? It feels at this point that his reactions are for engagement.
And no, I'm not defending the show. There's a lot of problems with it which I really don't like, especially in this episode. We have one episode to wrap this all up? Personally, I think it's as disjointed as it is because Leslye Headland has never done a series limited to 8 episodes. Russian Doll was 15, Single Drunk Female was 20. With 8 episodes for The Acolyte, she's crammed in too many different story Ideas which aren't going to be wrapped up by the finale/given the time it needs to grow.

90% of shows are just people making dumb decisions to create fake drama...this is no exception. Not many tv shows are really elite. You need to develop a psychic barrier to get past dumb scenes, like the bridge one :)

I feel like at this point the only way Disney wakes up and stops making this crap is if those who hate it stopped watching all together. I know they want the old true Star Wats fans gone but I feel they would be in for a rude awakening if they saw those numbers go way down and all that’s left is Disney Star Wars fans. Guarantee there’s more OG Star Wars fans than Disney fans. Anytime I comment saying I’m no watching anymore they always have something negative to say towards me so just shows you the type of people they are. No room for reasoning or anything. Scenario 1 of the Squid Jedi saving the two little girls : he literally have time to use the force to bring down one girl and then use the force and bring down the other , why he had to do it both at once ? we saw he had plenty time wasted supporting the bridge and going to save Osha , he simply had to stay in place and calmly bring Osha down and inmediately use the force to do the same with the other .
Scenario 2 of the Squid Jedi saving the two little girls : after he saves Osha and sees Mae falling why he didn't went down to check her out , maybe she could be alive, as she really was, he only had to grab Osha and jump using the force and his skill of Jedi, then get Mae and run out of there carrying Mae on his armas and Osha running after him , why these Jedis are so dumb ? why he abandoned an injured little girl ? that is the same behaviour we saw in the forest with the Jedis killed by fake Ezra Miller , he simply went to the ship and left the bodies there, why he didn't get a transport once in the ship and went back to collect the bodies ?
Those are simple questions from just a scene and those questions arise because of terribly bad writing .
This show is dumb and the people involved in the writing and approval of this show should be fired immediately. There is no a thought process or coherency in the whole script , the behaviors and the actions of the characters simply make no sense , it's like if a 5 year old kid writing this script after watching Disney's content for an entire day.
I'm trying to cancel my Disney+ account that I have with Verizon. They tell me I have to contact Disney+. I contact Disney+ and they tell me I have to contact Verizon. I let 2 f bombs slip, and she tells me she has to disconnect because of 2nd warning of profanity. She never said there was a first because they were in the same sentence. This is how far they are going to keep subscribers because they are dropping like flies. Disney is screwed. Because I'm taking my cell contract to another provider tomorrow.

Your opening comments I don’t agree with because after the finale of this, I intend to forget all about it. It’s not going to be in my rewatch list at all. Phantom meance is the start for me. I say this but also I skip over most of Attack of the Clones because it’s so bad and just move to Clone Wars.
