The Rolls Royce machine was a triumph no doubt but it was so extreme in nearly every aspect that it holds very little practical value to the industry particularly to the development of electric propulsion to the industry, part of the triumph lies in the enormous challenges they overcame to make it work but for a family-carrying composite GA machine the rules are very different and thus I still believe it will be a long time before we see true breakthrough in electric propulsion.
