Hate to say it, but I like the original Mackie design more. That last click is the loudest and most satisfying because it’s also striking the wall at the back of the slider. With this being open-ended, you don’t get that last ringing click. One thing I am interested in is their new rotating core.

Whats the big deal with this "zirc" shit? Zirconium is just another metal, not gold. Probably softer than steel, but more grip maybe. I never got it.
