I take my AC partially apart and put it in the bathtub and use the handheld shower attachment to hose out the crap. First spray the inner/outer coils with 70% alcohol and liquid laundry soap mixture. I also touch up paint the interior rusted parts after it dries. I only do this during the winter when I remove the Unit for the season. My AC is 23 yrs old now and still going strong.
Well you must be doing something right, huh?! 😂 23 yrs, great job!
I use lemon scented coil cleaner on the condenser and evaporator on my window units
Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
I wish every AC can be clean so easily like that one but not all AC are the same. But yeah we get your point
Unscrew the thing. It's not always easy but not rocket science either. I'm working on a unit my landlord lend me. It's ridiculous how filthy it is. It won't be easy to clean but with a screw driver and these items she suggested it might do the job.
What about the outside fins?!
One question - If you're using condensed air to blow dust and debris that has accumulated on the fins INTO the interior of the air conditioner, won't they just get blown back onto the fins once you start it up? Just wondering; I've never done this thorough of an inside cleaning, and while it make eminent sense, there's that one part that seems counterintuitive. 🤷
Why doesn't she reply?
The air conditioner is not advertised as fitting a 16 inch window, but as the body of the air conditioner is just under 16 inches if you leave off the accordion brackets it fits perfectly.
That's only one side of the evaporator the condenser must cleaned plus fan blades
Thank you. 👍
How about the back of the unit that sits outside, you need to clean that one real good !
Thank you, that's very helpful.
Hilarious, she's using the same blue tape I'm using to seal the window 😂
PLEASE be careful some soaps decay some metals, .other wise good
Can I use a power washer? lol
Do you use 100% hydrogen peroxide or dilute it ?
Take it out and scrub it every month? That’s insane.
What’s your ac Unit?? My son has one and it goes to turn on and won’t fully come on. But no clue what it’s called to get it fixed. Also what if black mold is on my other units?
Which ac is this
You only half clean it
How can I talk to Mark Zuckerberk
On Facebook

Julie Snyder??? She related to Zack Snyder????
That's not fully cleaned 🤦
