I think Georgia loses 2-3 games this season. Looking at UGAs current roster compared to the rosters Kirby’s had in the past and to the teams that have to face. There’s way more weaknesses and they face better teams during the regular season. RTR

I’m just utilizing common sense here, last year Georgia had more talent and more experience while playing an easier schedule didn’t make the playoff. This year UGA has less talent, less experience while playing a much tougher schedule. Common sense tells us they’ll lose more games. Retaining Mike Bobo wasn’t a good thing IMO his game plans are boring and bland very predictable. This years offensive line is the weakest Kirby has had not one first rounder on it. Maybe tate ratledge before the injuries forced him to play inside at guard. Mims leaving early was a blow. Now they have guard playing one of the tackle spots. Offensive line play will be huge for Georgia if teams can shut down the run like Bama did it’s going to be a long season. Especially with Carson Beck being a pocket passer. The teams they face have the talent to exploit these potential weaknesses. Defensively the Defensive line is solid not super great. Brinson and stackhouse are ok nit as dominant as in past years. Mykel Williams is a stud, but linebackers lack depth dumas-Johnson leaving was a blow. Secondary lack experience only one returning starter. Now I know some of those transfers and 5 stars will rise to the occasion but how fast? Will that be enough? Will other teams take advantage of their lack of experience. The first time Kirby tries to run cover 7 will tell us a lot. It’s the most difficult defensive call in Sabans playbook. It’s easy to bust calls without experienced guys. Cover 7 is important because it allows you to play spread offenses while maintaining run support. If Georgia can’t run it then uptempo offenses will catch them in the wrong front and go fast. RTR
Some interesting points, however, they have more talent and returning production this season. Of course they lost Brock Bowers, and that hurts. But losing Dumas Johnson was something that needed to happen from the Bulldogs perspective. He was told that there was no way he was going to be able to hold off the monsters behind him. He does not possess the speed and explosion to attack the outside run… You saw that last year with defense. Two of the freakiest athletes and all of college football will be stepping into the inside linebacker rolls this year. upgrades at running back wide receiver, should harmonize nicely with, at least on paper, the best offensive line unit in the country. It’s just a long season and you never know. The schedule is so tough, that any bad games can result in a loss. We still feel the Bulldogs are the favorite to win a national championship… so does Las Vegas. There’s just so many potential pitfalls!

All I can do is go based on what I see on film. Now on film Dumas Johnson’s natural instincts seem to be a lot better than mondon and CJ Allen. Although both are freaky athletes. Dumas Johnson really popped on film. Do you know how difficult it is to make plays in the backfield on cut back plays or when a Lineman get washed out of his gap? Dumas Johnson read that stuff. Mondon and Allen are obviously still getting to that level. Against bama neither was effective against the run. I’m not a Vegas odds guy or a rankings guy for 18 years now I’ve always done my own evaluations. And I don’t think Vegas has been right in while in terms of those odds. I’ve always told other bama fans exactly what we’re getting in players regardless of what the ranking experts say. See a lot of people only watch the highlights and make a determination. Me I watch actually game film. Or I watch film of prospects they played against that’s shows you what kind of player you’re really getting. Bama fans didn’t want to hear how many misses in recruiting I pointed out. We had a WR named malik benson last year a juco guy. The recruiting experts said he was a Henry Ruggs type. I evaluated his film and told them he’s not a burner or take the top off a defense like Ruggs. He’s a normal possession WR. Everyone cursed me out. A year later to now everyone sees that I was right. Quite possible. We actually believe that this year‘s national champion may be a two loss team because of the difficulty of the various SEC schedules.
