POLISH THE LIPS! I'm in the middle of doing it with my style 5s and it looks insanely cool! Sand from 400 grit and work up to 2000 grit then polish with any aluminum polish and they are mirrors!
I say don’t do all black with gold bolts or glossy bronze lips with matte bronze faces. I think full polish lips/faces with gold bolts is really a classic look. Or gold faces & polished lips.
Doubt you'll read this but I have a question. I have some 2 piece BBS LMs that I'd like to get more dish on. I have some lips from a 3 piece wheel with the same 20 bolt pattern. Could I cut the BBS wheel like you have and still use the centre to make my own 3 piece wheel using the new lips? Or will the centre not work with the 3 piece lips? Does that make any sense?
I think polished lip with a copper color center would be like the classic look but I have also seen gloss black everything and gold hardware and I think that looks pretty good too. Whats the plan for the centercaps? RS centercaps or keeping the RC ones?
Adrian Gonzalez RC caps are good as trashed for me. I have some ideas for caps I’ll cover soon! I’m thinking I’ll do a bronze/gold center and hardware with mirror polish lips.

I have a set of RC that I restored and did a gold center with a polished lip, although i cut some corners and my lips are not a completely perfect mirror and my hardware doesn't look the best so I recommend replacing the hardware bolts for some chrome ones if yours are really gross.
Yea I'm just looking to see what motor you used. I got a washing mashing motor but it runs like 11500 RPM. Way to fast and no torque. The motor you used ran at a great speed.
Most Style 5s are bent. I've bought multiple sets with 3 out of 4 being bent. I don't even bother to buy single Style 5s when I see them in the parts yards because it costs me $80 to straighten them.

Very cool setup. I may have to try something similar to polish my BBS or maybe just do them on the car spinning on jackstands 🤔 🛠🇩🇪🚖🎥
