That first part about one of a kind items, I really hope people wont think their really good boots with an extra 50 stun threshold (which caused their search to filter out all other options) is now mirror tier boots, instead of just good. Minmaxing searches to be more fluid is the real key to pricechecking, and not adding superfluous stats. You do this well in the example with the solar amulet, but it could be worth repeating to newer traders, as they might not make that connection
My friend literally did that. He told me he installed that plugin and evaluated all his 30lvl (campaign) items as 10 exalts, because he searches items with very high stun threshold and it's only 10+, so it means he got a jackpot. Eventually I convinced him to disenchant all of these items, apparently ruined his dreams of wealth
Same goes for res. Finding really gold boots with very specific resistances will show you very limited results. Instead search for the sum of all res matching your total res.
Bonus tip: If you feel lonely and need someone to talk, just take a good item you want to sell and accidentally offer it for 1 ex instead of 1 div. Happened to me yesterday. I got 30 new friends within 10 seconds.
listed polcirken ring for 1 ex accidentally and got literally 1000+ messages in 3 seconds I got spammed so hard that my game dropped to 2 fps and crashed my game LOL got soft locked for like an hour because I couldn't log in long enough before getting spammed and crashing
As a very new player to PoE, I've had a blast playing the game and enduring the punishments of respeccing. But the systems have been the biggest learning curve still, but videos like this help so much and relieve a lot of stress/pressure and simplify things to further my enjoyment. The game is deep and I hope to keep exploring as the game adds more. I barely touched PoE 1, so the "systems" in the maps like the explosives to trigger packs has been a nice surprise.
I had the same issue, but then i accidentally put it for 1 div instead of 1ex (coz i couldn't sell any for 50-25-15ex) and i got a buyer, i thought "damn im lucky what a noob" but then i posted my other really good items for 1 div each instead of 45ex and they all sold out. Therefore you need to understand that if item is good nobody from high-end players ever checks ex prices they are all so rich that they operate only in divines.
Just because something is open source does not mean its safe, like how many of you really understand code 😂 and have the ability to tell if every update to said program dident add something in , ill answer not many
@@tehtehkhantengames8580 Here's my theory that has logical financial reasoning : they won't do that (why would they after not doing it in PoE 1 for so many years), because forcing people to interact with each other and visiting each other's hideouts makes them buy more MTX :D Your homeless looking character visits a 30$ hideout (or much more if supporter pack) with a dude in a shiny armor and sh*t, with bosses as their pets, and you think to yourself "yo this looks nice imma buy it maybe". EZ profit. Eureka moment. Last Epoch doesn't have that so they can have an auction house. But PoE is a free game based on people buying overpriced skins for everything, they don't make money in any other way, so they HAVE to have some systems that incentivize players to spend money. If they implemented an actual AH, you would be sitting in your scuffed cave or forest 24/7, in your scuffed homeless looking armor holding a rusty piece of metal for a weapon and not ever see all the shiny stuff people have , and therefore not being incentivized to have them too :D
Price check Fridays seems like a cool idea for a series, not sure if it would get as many views as some of your other content but it would be nice to see.
quick guide here. Buy a quad tab. Make everything a div, dump all loot into it and keep mapping. after a week change the tab to 15 ex. if nothing sells then disenchant everything
I've been doing this strat not too long after I started trading, slowly filled up the tab over the later half of cruel and just got rid of everything since it had been sitting for a while, dump tab for the wiiiinnn
I prefer sidekick over exiled. Side kick also lets you quickly do actions with the f keys. So you can just hit f5 and instant go to hideout , or instant message last person to whispered you with f6
Noob here. Another two good points for poor people like me is you put max buyout price so you don't see stuff you can't afford. Also clicking on dps at bottom of item relists in dps order based on if it was 20% quality.

Since the trade side does not calculate EX to DIV price correctly, pricechecking with exile exchange you always offer your items way overpriced. is there a setting in exiled exchange to set it to search for EX price instead of "relative"?

Being new to POE/POE2 i struggle to identify what a good item would be to consider putting top the trade site, the build guide i have is fine to show me my ranger gear but i have no idea what makes a good wand, sceptre, even a good bow with critc dam on it for another class i have no clue, is there a way to increase knowledge on this without playing every other class?

Whenever i run exile exchange, i get a constant frame stutter issue. When its running, the f1 graph shows consistant frame time spikes at consistant intervals every couple seconds. Turn it off, graph goes flat, back on and its spikey as hell again. Anyone else having this and if so have you found a solution? I've scoured the internet and can't find anything and have changed almost every setting i can think of in the app and in the game so throwing a hail mary here that someone might know...
I was having fps drops mostly during breaches rituals etc, cpu ms would spike and fps would tank to like 5. found my cpu temps very hot, opened up the case and found the cpu cooler and fan hella blocked so gunna take it to a pc place tomorrow to clean it and reapply new thermal paste, hopefully it fixes it lol. Weird thing was that my cpu was only showing like 25% on task manager, but the clock speed was getting throttled because of the heat so probably lowering my performance.
@ryanhoulder8516 Yes this sounds more like issues other have had with fps and performance in general. For me, it's turn on exile exchange, consistsnt frame drops every second or two occur captured by both in game graph and amd adrenaline, turn it off graph goes flat instantly. This is just standing in my HO. It's clearly exile exchange 100%, I just don't know why as nobody else seems to have the issue.
8:37 This happened to me once. I was playing PoE for the first time. Some item dropped, I checked the price, and it was 40 chaos. I was like, 'Wow, it is the most expensive item I've found so far,' and listed it for 39 chaos. A couple of minutes later, my PMs exploded. Dozens of messages at the same time. What is happening? I delisted the item and decided to price check it again. Then I realized it was not 40 chaos; it was 40 ex. Yep, the item was Headhunter.
Why did i buy premium tabs on console if there is no way to list the items? Have tried everything and there is no way to list the gear like you see here.
Lot of people on the forum a saying that there are many 3rd party trading overlays that are leading to their accounts being hacked. So like he said, don’t use anything that asks you to log in.
i crafted a fire dmg caster staff a couple of weeks ago, I searched the trade site, there were 7 like it, but they were all high level (78 to equip), mine is lvl 36, I posted in trade chat in game looking to sell for 2div/200ex (the exchange rate for div at that time), I got bombarded by one person in whisper berating me, then putting me on ignore so I couldn't even respond, I later check and they are one of the people listing a similar item to mine for way above market value on the trade site, it's honestly pathetic that some people are like that also.
Whats confusing to me is i got the wondering crocs unique and i look it up and a bunch are for sale for 1 ex but when i go to sell if i get like 15 ppl trying to buy it. Edit: he covered this. Price fixing.
gave my dad a rarity amulet with plus 3 to proj, 20 all stat, 15 all res, more rarity and max ES, max evasion. dont think he will understand what it is for a month
This is one of the things i absolutely hate about this game is the ammount of currencies you can buy/sell with which makes pricing hard and price checking is ridiculous for earlier game stuff and almost not even worth it.
I want just to say that as far as we know this is a void league. Way before the beta launched GGG said multiple times anything in the beta will be wiped before actual launch because it would be very hard to test balance stuff otherwise. They might change their minds in what they said before the launch because of how popular it is(I doubt with all the exploits we had).
It’s because you’re searching for everything the item is showing. Some stats people don’t care about or the range of the stats is too strict. You have to change the range and also not adding some stats that are not as important help with the search. Try removing some of the stats like - 6 life on kill as an example.
yup me when looking for an item I need *listed 3 days ago for 40 ex* > sends offer > guy unlists items and raises by 80 ex > I still need it so I offer again > unlists and raises price again... but yea the bots are getting out of hand lol GGG needs a massive bot banwave like half of the playerbase probably isn't even real
To find spirit as an implicit wouldn’t you just add that to the stat filter ? why did you search solar? Like I get solar is the spirit implicit but why not through the stat filter ?
Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with my ex exchange? Whenever I try to price check something it auto hides despite me deselecting auto hide and also uninstalling and reinstalling? Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?
Overwolf had a controversial past and resource usage problems so a lot of people dont feel too good about it but I think they can be trusted nowadays but im not sure because I only used them to update my WoW addons then close it right after.
Downloading anything from GitHub, especially from some random person who forked it, could be risky-it might contain a keylogger. You don't even need to log in for that to happen.
So basically what you do in this game is that you roleplay an auction house and you have a game in it where you get the items so you can trade. Trade of Exile.

the real price is 7 divs. you aren't "falling" for paying 7 divs, you are "falling" for maybe listing one to sell for 5 divs, so the fixers can buy it for 5 and resale for 7.

Trading is a hassle and isn't worth the effort on consoles. And the amount of time it takes and the messages that never get answered or they don't want to sell it. I have tried to be patient with the trading but I can't do it no more. Gonna play SSF from now on until they add a trading board in game.
@nouniquenameguy I've played on PoE1 SSF and trade league on console least in PoE1 we had a trade board and it was the only thing I used whole playing trade league. I don't use spreadsheets, or copy paste other peoples builds. And I enjoy playing Poe 1 and 2. Trading in Poe is like playing Diablo 4 it makes the game more trivial and much more easier than SSF. But hey this is my opinion and not a fact.
It’s the same as any other item. You search for the item you’re looking for but it won’t have a price listed. You can whisper them and negotiate a price.
This is a great video and really informative, but trading is easily the worst part of this game, at least for someone like me who plays on console. It's too bad it's so important for endgame progression.
If you talk about the premium stash tab, you'll have to right click it to open the tab option window, then activate the "make public" so your premium stash will now share its content onto the trade site. Know that anything you'll put in that public tab will be shared on trade and people will assume those items are for trade. Also on that same window you can choose how to price your items that you want to sell: everything same price or hand price everything separatly.

Yeah just so annoying that tradesite values div orb as 5 chaos :P have to change settings in sidekick often

I followed your steps but still can't make tab public. Once I click option for public and click ok, it automatically set as not checked every time

Any reason youre not using poe2 overlay from curseforge/overwolf? You can alt+e a rare item and it searches those stats etc. With price check
what if i price check an item and its listed for 1-40div. like multiple of every number going all the way up

Could’ve shown pseudo mod search using sums on that spirit amulet example. (sum of implicit and spirit mod)

Better advice: just dm your favourite streamer in game while theyre live and ask them what the item it worth. They really like price checking for you.

the 3rd party overlay doesnt require login though, you can just use it in-game and it's so much faster

You wait until they add it to the trade site or you CTRL+F your mod with minimum price floors.

To find spirit as an implicit wouldn’t you just add that to the stat filter ? why did you search solar? Like I get solar is the spirit implicit but why not through the stat filter ?

Overwolf had a controversial past and resource usage problems so a lot of people dont feel too good about it but I think they can be trusted nowadays but im not sure because I only used them to update my WoW addons then close it right after.
Downloading anything from GitHub, especially from some random person who forked it, could be risky-it might contain a keylogger. You don't even need to log in for that to happen.
FYI people are currently getting hacked and losing all divs. Seems like the culprit is possibly a price check app.
The culprit is people re-using passwords and logging into things that aren’t trustworthy.

the real price is 7 divs. you aren't "falling" for paying 7 divs, you are "falling" for maybe listing one to sell for 5 divs, so the fixers can buy it for 5 and resale for 7.

Trading is a hassle and isn't worth the effort on consoles. And the amount of time it takes and the messages that never get answered or they don't want to sell it. I have tried to be patient with the trading but I can't do it no more. Gonna play SSF from now on until they add a trading board in game.

@nouniquenameguy I've played on PoE1 SSF and trade league on console least in PoE1 we had a trade board and it was the only thing I used whole playing trade league. I don't use spreadsheets, or copy paste other peoples builds. And I enjoy playing Poe 1 and 2. Trading in Poe is like playing Diablo 4 it makes the game more trivial and much more easier than SSF. But hey this is my opinion and not a fact.

It’s the same as any other item. You search for the item you’re looking for but it won’t have a price listed. You can whisper them and negotiate a price.

Auction house in games should be banned. Should be a in-game market.
This is a great video and really informative, but trading is easily the worst part of this game, at least for someone like me who plays on console. It's too bad it's so important for endgame progression.

I bought it twice and there is nothing in the stash that says sell
If you talk about the premium stash tab, you'll have to right click it to open the tab option window, then activate the "make public" so your premium stash will now share its content onto the trade site. Know that anything you'll put in that public tab will be shared on trade and people will assume those items are for trade. Also on that same window you can choose how to price your items that you want to sell: everything same price or hand price everything separatly.
