Atheism exists to comfort people too. So they can sin and not think he’ll is a reality.

Atheism is also a comfort. A false sense of security that allows you to love life without being held morally accountable to your Creator.

Well actually it is a comfort. I can remember that moment He filled me with His Spirit and grace. Can’t imagine going back to the way I was before. We’re an ornery bunch though,,,,,He pretty much begs us to see Him.
But all those no’s, can be a million times deployed. with one believing yes, they are all null and void!

What people fail to realize is that Christianity isn't a religion. It's the only way to truly live. Religion is man's own attempt at reaching out to God and gaining His favor. When in reality we can never gain His favor. He's waiting to give it to us.

Actually the job of all religions excluding the Satanic religion and the religion of secular Humanism to make their adherents uncomfortable in life by following the essential rules of each of each to make themselves righteous enough to be accepted by God. The more stricture you can show the more righteous you appear before others.
Jesus came to abolish the only religion that God established, Judyisim, when He said it is finished as He surrendered His spirit to His Father. He had met all of the requirements of the law, had been tested in every conceivable human manner, and was victorious in overcoming human desires including the temptations offered by Satan. In order to o bypass the death on the cross He only had to kneel to Satan and all of the kingdoms would be given to Him without dying. Even the unnecessary rituals by those who practice the Christian religion have uncomfortable things to do. Some sects compel their members to repeat vain & repetitious mantras, restricting their dietary intake, and doing good deeds. Some have their people going door to door to hold their place in glory.
In careful reading of the teachings of Jesus I find that He kept telling His followers and later us to connect to the Father. Jesus brought us life and life more abundantly through the diminishing carnal desires when our nature was exchanged with His. We don't experience the misery that those who haven't made peace with the Father but who instead in practicing the religion of Christianity experience. They haven't exchanged their nature with Jesus' nature so they do things to feel worthy. "I can't do this, I have to do that." A pig's desire is its filthy mud hole but if its nature is exchanged with a lamb's it will never willingly go back to what it only knew as good. If we have exchanged our proclivities with God's, our old ways are too disgusting to think about let alone return to. We were drowning and Jesus not only provided a life ring but also a place in His luxury yacht. There are way to many who believe that they have to swim laps before they can be good enough to accept the life ring and accept the room on the yacht so they are a most miserable and pitiful lot. Too many Christian sects teach that works plus grace are the only way to get a room. Some even sell objects to assist or bypass certain punishments so their parishioners can continue to live self pleasing lives without fear of any consequences.
In summary, all religions cause miserable lives except for their hierarchy since they are allowed to live as they see fit as long as they're not caught doing so.
Don't wait, establish your relationship with God the Father by thanking Jesus for exchanging His perfect life for your wreckage through His taking our punishment in our stead. Look, all things become new because the old has gone away. Start the first day of your new life right now.

Jesus came to abolish Judaism, that God established? Where in scripture does it say that? John 3:17 says, that Jesus didn't come to condem the world, but to save it. When he said on the cross, it is finished, He meant, our debt was paid in full. Jesus also wasn't victorious, by overcoming human desires. He didn't have human desires to overcome, since he was God in the flesh. I could be wrong on this, but you seem to imply, that once saved , you become sinless? Is so , that's false. I'll stop on that for now. One question. Do you consider yourself a Christian , or something else?

    • @nschlaak

@@saved217 Sure, that's an easy one if we understand what it meant when He said, "It Is Finished!". John 19:28-30 - 28 After this, Jesus, [a]knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
The law pointed out that people are seriously flawed. Romans 5:18 - 6:2 shows that through one man sin entered the world and through Jesus the penalty for sin, (the wages) the consequences were abolished. Jesus met every requirement that God made to become righteous without failing in a single point. Judaism required constant sacrifices for the individual and for the nation itself. When Jesus said, "It Is Finished!" He ended the need for further sacrifices, God was satisfied with the perfect sacrifice so His presence left the Holy of Holies and the curtain tore in two showing that the need for the priest to act as an intermediary between us and God was over. Since sin's barrier had been destroyed, God, being the epitome of perfection, who cannot abide the merest hint of sin, made it possible through His Son Jesus to experience the only way to have a relationship with God the Father.
In Judyisim the requirement of blood atonement made us temporarily clean but had to be continuously repeated. Jesus' sacrifice was the final sacrifice, He had fulfilled the law, ended the need for sacrifices, and forever ended the need to continue to ask for forgiveness. People looked forward to this final forgiveness from Adam to Jesus just as each of us looks back to Jesus. He doesn't hold a grudge against us by saying, "I forgave you for everything up to where you thanked me for forgiving you, but you have to ask again each time you fail or the new sins will count against you. No! He said, "It Is Finished!". So now I say, "I'm so sorry for failing please help me not to fall again, thank you for making me aware of it, and since you have overcome this in my life it is now dead to me." The only way to make ourselves right with God was through the religion of Judaism that ended with the death, burial, and resurrection. Judaism was God's way to make us righteous with all other religions are man's ways of making themselves earn their righteousness and feel good about just how just they must appear to God and are worthy to be in His presence.
Imagine doing something wrong to someone, broke something of theirs, and they came to you and said, "I forgive you." before you let them know what happened. Not realizing what it was that you were forgiven, or that you were forgiven at all, come to them later and confess, asking for forgiveness. Is it at that point of confession that you are forgiven, or was it when you were forgiven? It is at the point where you realize that you've been forgiven, where you accepted the forgiveness that it takes effect.
Sorry, I got a little bit off the track. In my opinion, the need of any religion died the moment the final and perfect sacrifice was made in our stead when Jesus cried, "It Is Finished!".

@@nschlaak I never realized, that Judism, was the same as the blood sacrifice, so I knew all about that. I also knew, that all sins, past, present, and future, were forgiven on the cross.( but only to those, who accept Gods free gift of salvation ) Seems to me though, that your splitting hairs on the part, about saying I'm sorry for failing you. It's no different than one saying, forgive me for sinning, which we all do, from birth until death. The Holy spirit convicts us, and we turn to God for his help( which we need) to try and sin no more. Key word, try. Lastly, I assume you go to no Church?

@@saved217 You assume incorrectly on the Church part. Son of a church planter and missionary. Non Denominational Evangelical Free Church from before I was born. Salvation was explained to me at a very young age and when I finally comprehended what dad was telling me I accepted the free gift. Both parents are/were graduates of two different Bible Schools. Dad left the Moravian church when he accepted salvation and mom left the Lutheran church when she got saved. I'm not sure what you mean by splitting hairs. When I start typing into these small boxes I have no idea how much I've written. My eyes popped out of my head when I saw how much I had done. I've sat in on countless theological debates where I sat stunned listening to knowledgeable Bible students sharpen their iron against each other. God really hasn't given me the same talent in this direction like my parents and my youngest son. Nothing I've posted hasn't been verified through research at sites like Got Questions Dot Org and others. Oh I know what you mean by splitting hairs. Asking for forgiveness versus saying keep me from doing it again. It's only through contrition that changes are made in us. Ray Comfort just had a piece on this today and cited the same example I use. Hebrews 10:26-27 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Slipping is one thing but deliberation is different. Paul was talking to the Jewish Followers of the Way that had felt the need for reassurance for their forgiveness so they returned to sacrifices. In Hebrews 10:17 God says, - “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” If they aren't remembered by God then there's no further need for forgiveness. I live my life having forgiven everyone including those whom I've never met let alone been harmed by them. It's painful when I'm wronged, but the sting of the action is all that there is since no anger, hate, or resentment accompanies it. For an in-depth answer on Forgiveness go to Got Questions Dot Org since they cite more scriptures than I have.

Revelation 14:11 “and the smoke of their torment goes forever and ever”. Revelation 20:10 again mentions “tormented day and night forever and ever “ the thought there is that if somebody hears that hell were to be destroyed, then suffering wouldn’t be their eternal doom. Thus could be used as an excuse to continue in sin. The Good News though is that Jesus died to pay for our trespasses so that followers who truly believe and trust in Him can live eternally in Heaven; and not suffer eternally in hell.. as Todd was preaching.

This book mentions a "second death" 4 different times, and your cherry-picked quotes are taken out of context. If there is a "Second Death", then there is no punishment that means suffering for eternity. Death means end. Death means utter destruction. Jesus teaches that there is one you should be afraid of, the one who can destroy both the body and the soul. The souls of many will die after the Judgement during the Second Death.
