Xenos: *Throwing their overpowered ships at humanity and waiting for the inevitable victory* Imperium of Man: “Could you stop throwing your legos? I don’t feel like putting them in the bucket for you.”
When they described the specifics of what they classify as a "supercarrier" i was somewhat confused. that just sounded like a normal or light carrier to me. A supercarrier would carry many hundreds of fighters or even ships of frigate size, like the UNSC Infinity does.
Thats the point, their expectations for a ship are way higher than for us, for us a space supercarrier should carry at least 500 fighters and have at 1 AA turret every 5 meters, but for them 150 fighters is an exceptional capacity
This is basically saying it can hold 100 infinities and the frigates in the same style if its blocking out the sun. And who can say. That the thing holding the infinities is only a carrier.....
Yeah even today we regularly build ships here on earth that are over 300m long and the Jahre Viking was over 450m long, so classifiing a ship in the far future with 550m length as a super carrier really seems puny.
@@_realghost_ Not to mention that most carriers in the navies around the world can carry around 80 fighters, fleet carriers go over 100 aircraft. Quite amusing that mighty supercarrier has capacity of pre space era vessel.
Not necessarily. That far into the future we really don't know exactly how big ships would actually be, so we can only really go by speculation from science fiction. 550 meters might be small-ish by Star Wars standards, around mid-bulk cruiser size, for example, but it's actually bigger than the Constitution-class USS Enterprise (TOS, not Kelvin Timeline) from Star Trek, and a bit smaller than the BC-304 from Stargate (which, admittedly, is one of the smaller capital ships from Stargate but that's a series where most factions just mass-produce their largest ships without any tactical consideration). So, for a carrier, 550 meters would be on the small side, but not necessarily tiny.
This entire video could be summed up as Fleetmaster: Eagerly attempting to f*ck around. Scoutmaster: Desperately trying to stop the council from finding out.

I thought the twist would be that the aliens in this story deploy carriers alone, but humans deploy them in Carrier Strike Groups which consists of dozens of destroyers, frigates, Aegis, support and stealth ships attached to each of them.
That will be normal, for the fleet too, if you have ship specific to destroy bigger ships with sheer volume of firepower you win with 3 ships similar in size desined to carry resorce or space fighters.
@@kacpermalina308 It's a pretty simple concept. Allow the carrier to be the fleet supply ship and have the significant offensive weapons (control the air/space... uh... space). It's mostly the fact that we have "clung" to our primitive weapons. What they fail to realize is that everyone else has optimized for a different kind of attack, so no one can really defend against ours.
