You are correct, green Hydrogen making is not cost effective, To make green Hydrogen it requires much other type of energy like electricity, and to produce that electricity again another fuel like crude, natural gas are required, so agian carbon is produced. So, green Hydrogen production may not be possible in near future.
Water is also one of the natural resources. If we break water to make hydrogen because of availability it will start creating imbalance in the environment. May be not immediately. Usage of crude does the same. Reason for why we are looking for green options.
Currently we transport Hydrogen in cylinder cascade at high pressure. EKC etc., will be a beneficiary. Countries like MY use tube trailers and EU use liquid Hydrogen tanks. Hydrogen safety is a big thing. Sensors and fire safety etc. are key.

Hi Sai garu.Good information.I think it's still long way to go. Safety,high Capex, storage and electricity etc. Costs high. Eco system will take time. CNG n even battery technology improvements can change the game. Refineries can make better if they get some solution. We still have more than 51% power coming from coal. My guess this can go for trucks with Hydrogen ic engines while passenger trucks go on battery.

The process of making liquid hydrogen is cryogenic process....Air lique and air liquid are famous companies in cryogenics....Linde is aquired them...cryogenic is one of cheapest process, but in mega scale, I have doubt.

Hi Sai garu.Good information.I think it's still long way to go. Safety,high Capex, storage and electricity etc. Costs high. Eco system will take time. CNG n even battery technology improvements can change the game. Refineries can make better if they get some solution. We still have more than 51% power coming from coal. My guess this can go for trucks with Hydrogen ic engines while passenger trucks go on battery.

The process of making liquid hydrogen is cryogenic process....Air lique and air liquid are famous companies in cryogenics....Linde is aquired them...cryogenic is one of cheapest process, but in mega scale, I have doubt.
