Brilliant! Both the changes introduced in 1.9 and this video showcasing them. The only thing that somewhat hurts my eyes is unnatural turning by the cars when changing lanes. As if they magically turn 15 degrees to the left and then instantly switch back to straight path when they change the lane. A more realistic, curved path would be neater. Anyways, looking forward to more improvements and additions.

Is the AI faster in this update? Because I just started to search for a mod to fix that. It's ridiculous that they have to drive at least 30 KM/H below the speed limit.
That's not the worse. The worse is when they do that AND you can't overtake for a reason or another. With me, it often happens nearby corners or when there is traffic coming the on the other lane. Either that or when I finally get a chance to overtake, the idiots magically speed up and I can't overtake in time before a turn or some vehicle comes.
i think they have made it so each vehicle is set a "personality" at random so sometimes you will get a boy racer doing 90mph in a 50 zone, sometimes they will just be normal but in a rush going a bit over the limit sometimes you will get slowpokes doing 30 in a 50 zone and sometimes, most often probably you will get law abiding traffic who drive just under the limit

Nevím kde je chyba, ale uvedené změny se mi ve hře projevili až po nějaké době, jako kdyby se NPC museli svojí novou inteligenci teprve naučit i přes to že už sem měl nahraný nový patch - např. když jsem zabrzdil v pravém (pomalém) pruhu na dálnici, auta za mnou jen troubila ale nepředjížděla a hned vznikla kolona cca 20 aut, která neměla sebemenší náznak "nové inteligence". Následně i po nějaké době kdy podobná situace fungovala už správně, tak do mě zase nabouralo auto, které chtělo vjet na dálnici z připojovacího pruhu - je sice hezké, že už se v přip. pruhu nedělá neskutečná kolona která čeká až bude dálnice prázdná, ale aby tam auta jezdila i přes to, že někdo jede v daném (pomalém) pruhu, je zas slušný opačný extrém.. Jinak ve finále hodnotím změny určitě pozitivně, je moc hezké vidět že se na hře pořád dělá a vývojáři mají pořád pocit že je (a ono je) co zdokonalovat.

El oth emany I presume sarcasm, but it is hard to detect on comments! =) It's probably more like 600,000! AI is extremely complex to code into computers. Programs (games) just do what you tell them to do, so to program an engine to 'think' intelligently requires a lot of logic sequences, IF, THEN or CASE statements galore I would imagine. All to just stop a car overtaking you when you want to change lanes! I admire SCS for their passion to improve their software games.
Neal Foster according to SCS themselves they have been working on this new AI since euro truck simulator 1 and it took all the way to now till they finished so yeah, quite a few lines of code lmao
megaspeed2v2 The real question is now how many lines of code, but how much time spend on testing, debugging and fine tuning. You know, in some cases, all you have to do it add a single line of code, but until you find out WHAT line of code to add, all the hairs on your head have turned white. :)

Looks nice, but why are the crashed vehicles leave the crash site? They supposed to stay there, until police arrives. ;) Also will it matter from now on if the beacon is on or off?
The roundabouts are not quite correct - the traffic going around the roundabout on the inside have to give-way to drivers going around from the outside lane?
The only problem that I have with newer version is on the merging of the turn_indicator_car_ai and ai_car_ brake distance X((( I turn my indicator, it SEEMS I can make a safe turn, but no... I alway get a f*cking ticket after the car desides to go forward WITH me being there.
Dear people; it is a fact that when someone is taking longer to make something, the results will ALWAYS be better than that person is pushed and set under pressure, with as result the work will look terrible and useless (!) Whether it be a game developer, or a car manufacturer, it everywhere the same (!)

It's the little details that really make a huge change for ETS2, I am now excited to really play again! Part of the reason I'd never play was the AI.

I have problem, when I enter game I have old scania sound ( I don't have any mods ) and when create new profile then I can hear what is happen?
I think the cars are turning too steeply/suddenly to overtake the stopped truck (at 0:25). Everything else looks great!
