0:18 what intervals are you playing here ? I think you’re in Emin Key and here you’re playing the 3rd chord (Gmin), but I don’t get why you’re adding flat 5 instead of 5
Hi Youssef: I'm in the key of D and at 0:18 I'm playing a C#7-5 (G, C#, F, B). It's a somewhat dissonant sounding substitution for the IV chord (G7) in a D blues. For me, a little dissonance adds musical interest.
I think a different way to look at it would be that you would be playing Gm7b5 (half diminished IV), C# is the flat 5 of G and m7 (F) comes from G7 (b7), and then B is just the 3rd of G, fun!
Masterful!
Thanks, Youssef!
I love to see you doing well. Thanks for video buddy.
Thanks, Dan!
killin it!!
Thanks, Ethan!
So good
Thanks, Tom!
So cool! Are you in D-standard here?
Thanks, Sam! The tuning here, low to high, is DADGBE.
@@stephen451 interesting choice, thanks for sharing! I better get to drinking my coffee before it goes cold
