The Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto met with Caguas Mayor William Miranda Torres, to present the draft of a gym with capacity for 1.500 people, and that includes a place for lockdown camps(encampment), a center for advanced studies and tutorials to boxers that were behind in school.The idea of Miguel Cotto's father, is that in the gym children and youth train, and that the gym can be used as a stage to present amateur and professional boxing cards.For the realization of the project, said Cotto, it would take a minimum of two acres of land.Miranda Torres welcomed the initiative and said it will evaluate the proposal and the plans for the site.The champion and Miguel Cotto Promotions president used the meeting to formalize the closure this year in the criolla city cycle of boxing cards."We have presented the mayor, the closure of our events are in the Hector Sola Bezares. This is one of the great projects we have and we wanted to present it to 'Willie'. He, like his father, loves boxing and what better than in Caguas to close the cycle of the cards this year, "said Cotto.For this card fighters the fighters that are stationed, are Jesus Rojas, Jose Miguel Cotto, the aguasbonés Abner "Pin" Cotto and el junqueño Jasyon "Maravilla" Velez, among others.The card will be held on December 16 at the Hector Sola Bezares Coliseum and will be broadcast live on TeleFutura and broadcast locally on Channel 7.
