Oh wow super cool. Yes Couran is a good first trip to get used to everything. One more weekend!!! You'll have the measuring tape out to double check that air draft!!!
Thanks for your videos I really enjoy them We have just purchased a new pontoon boat and wondered about an overnight at the cove maybe sleeping on the boat Cheers
Couran cove marina is currently closed. You can't access the marina and there are no facilties there. But you could definately stay on your boat if it ever opens again.
Another great video Brooke and Damien. Great info for the lucky people who share your superb boating area. Amazing number of free berths too! Maybe because ( unbelievably to us in the U.K.) this is your winter or very early spring ! I mentioned on one of your other videos my thanks for all your advice on Solar and the Vicron Battery Monitor. I copied you on my own 895. To view search for ´Powerboat Adventures’ Show round on an 895. Best regards
Yes it was a really empty weekend at Couran that weekend. We are lucky with the weather providing great boating all year around. I sometime prefer winter as there are less people on the water.
Hi guys great video, its a very nice place and thanks for advising that you can have you dog in a small area at Couran Cove. How about some more vids and local info on doggy friendly boating spots. I know you can't take your dog to Tippler's but I have heard on of the little islands just opposite is very popular to let your dog off the boat for a quick run. Canaipa Pt on Russell Is is dog friendly and a fantastic facility but you have to be a member of RQYS. I am not sure if they have reciprocal right from Southport Yacht Club.
Spent lots of time there in the early 2000's in a 45' Riv. No dogs were allowed then. Something wrong with people that cannot go somewhere without their mutts.
@@TheRudder Change is happening. The individual Body Corporates have been taken over by owners and people who care. Resident Owners should have some facilities restored very soon. Unfortunately the current Resort Operator, Sydney financier Simon Napoli, is still obstructing whilst he remains on the Community Body Corporate. The Queensland Government needs to take action and cancel his lease so that an Operator who is actually interested in running the resort properly rather than pulling funds out of it. The original concept for the place when Chuck Feeney and Ron Clarke built the place was perfect as an Eco Resort.
Another great video. Our 1095 arrives at gold coast on 20th Sep. This might be our first trip!

Good idea on doggy spots video!

A marina that doesn't allow dogs isn't really catering to a lot of boaters.
@@TheRudder people that need to take their dogs everywhere need to wake up to themselves. Sick of dogs at cafes etc. leave them at home.
It's not an anchorage, it's a mooring, an anchorage is where you anchor your boat, not moor it
Well it is neither now.....
Joke! The current operator has completely shut down all facilities at the resort in April 2023, completely inconveniencing all owner residents.
It is a terrible loss for the boating community let alone the residents. Not sure if it will ever return?

Sad what’s happened there
