Anyone that has had a Security Clearance of any kind is fully aware they are required to report any mishandling of documents. Failure to report such incidents can cause you to Lose your security clearance. It is time to apply these laws now to all those that allowed this mishandling to go on.
But what if those who are behind demanding said doucments have no clearance to see them?! Great question cause they didn't.. also what they actually got is the evidence of crimes against every single one of us.. trump saved your life .. BUCKLE UP, THE MARSHALL PLAN WAS DONE.. I've seen even seemingly minor infractions (especially compared to the boxes and boxes of essentially stolen and improperly stored classified material) really mess things up for career government employees.
We're talking one safe left unlocked one time or one document left in the wrong place within a locked office inside a secure building losing someone a promotion they'd been working towards for years.
Nothing about it is political in this case. The rules around this stuff are about as explicit as it gets.

They found them, which means he didn't in fact give them back. That's called obstruction of justice, and again, that's a crime.
ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK. They did. He refused to give them back, because, again, they were actually found, in his basement. So they subpoenaed them, back in June. IT;s now August. He still refused to give them back, so they got a warrant, from a TRUMP APPOINTEE judge, and retrieved them.

Actually most of all. Trump was given multiple opportunities to discretely turn over the stolen documents, Garland bent over backwards to let him off the hook. The AG waited 2 months after Trump thumbed his nose at a subpoena before he took decisive action. If Merrick Garland had waited any longer, he would have been enabling a serious breach of US security. If Trump is convicted of an obvious crime, he has no one to thank but himself.
