Don Schumaker and Mama K gave me a tour of DSR back in 2015 when I was too poor to go to races at that moment in life. I saw Don's Stardust car running back in 1970's when coming through Division 3 points races in Beech Bend on their way to The US Nationals run 22 weeks later on Labor Day Monday. RIP Don.
It's hard for me to believe that this is the same Don Schumacher. I met at capital Raceway driving the wonder wagon . Back in the 70s . He built this himself. No one gave him anything . This is quite a commitment to have achieved .
I'm just finishing trucking school and I know that a brand new tractor is 120-150K. With sponsorship from Freightliner, I bet those trucks cost 100+ so, that's easily at least 2 mil just in tractors. Mega bucks operation right here, folks. Mega bucks. Wild stab in the dark, I bet the whole operation is worth at least 15 mil.
SUPER HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE MEGA SUPERSTARS BEHIND THE DSR SCENE WITHOUT U THERE WOULD BE NO FEARLESS ANGEL AND THE MEN OF STEEL. LOVE AND KISSES GOES OUT TO ALL OF U
Its funny to see that when you gotta machine parts that require alot of precission you aint fucking got HAAS machines in your shop like all the custom shops got.. Force dont either have thoes toy machines.. great video! i would love to be a machinist in a shop like that. :)
Fast forward to today, Schumacher ripping on John Force on how much money and how many teams he has. Shirley Muldowney sure was right, its a rich man's sport. Not what it was like back in the 60s and 70s. Hopefully some day it will change.
and they have a 2nd set so that when you have races that are cross country, you're not mad dashing to get home and swap new parts, you just switch haulers.
never met you Don, BUT i have utmost respect for you.. I LOVE YOUR OPERATION, and i would LOVE to meet you..Heck, i would love to make it to a race for the 1st time, lol.. I'm glad you beat the cancer, and praying for your health.. THANKS for the EXCITEMENT! GOD BLESS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! GO DSR!!!
Yep and this is why all Motorsports is dying sport. People can't relate to this and aren't interested in it they better wake up before it's too late!!!
IT a Honor to visite the shop

Why two transporters per team?
hospitality/ tech/spare parts trailer and the actual hauler. Or one hauler just for the spares and the other for the actual car.

Where can I apply? I have experience in gas station garage. Oil changes and tire changes etc. Contact me if you are interested in my expertese.
