We still do a lot of traditional project management. Our criteria for success is ultimately based on ROI for a project. So just because it's on time, budget and scope ROI is "more" important. We still haven't been able to come up with some outcome based metrics that would guide our agile efforts. Anyone want to share what the use?

I was very fortunate to manage a project where the lead Systems Engineer was constantly testing (although tests were not automated). He would also help the developers create tests. His attention to quality is what made the system so good. After reading part of a Product Manager book, I think he informally embodied a Product Manager mindset.
