- They’re part of a multi national force that the United States has pushed for, and the United Nations has sanctioned, to try and stop the country’s gangs, which have siezed control of the capital Port-au-Prince.
But there are doubts about how effective they'll be
And, unsurprisingly, the gangs are promising more violence when they head out onto the streets.

Those are not police officers, but a unit of special forces, trained in such situations, troops from other African, Asian, and friendly countries on the way, there must be safety and security, and hope the gangs are ready because this time around those are real soldiers with combat experience prepared to get rid of them.
