- It has become a regular practice of MBBS seats going vacant in government medical colleges. We see this happening almost every year now. Who is responsible for this? What can be done? What are the colleges in which seats are vacant for 2023-24? Can this be prevented in 2024-25?

All because of the rules are keep on changing by the medical board authorities. Deliberately they are tempting and allowing students for next and next rounds by loosing of their security deposits. If they want more forfeited security deposits they can keep four more rounds. Nothing will be changed. How much of efforts from students and parents side..All are going in vein..So much of frustrated and disappointed..As a parent Feel so painful 😣

They should conduct the offline counselling
Yes, the final round should be offline or at least in hybrid mode.

State selection committee and MCI both are doing well before two years.
Unfortunately one judgement from Apex court destroyed this counseling procedure.
Before vacant seats are return to the state. But Apex court unnecessarily involved and creating problem.
AIQ seats should be filled as all India seats. That's the judgement. I don't see anything wrong with that.
But, the problem is MCC. MCC was inefficient and continues to be inefficient.
Go to court and get permission to jion mbbs

if passible to upgrade? and if a new seat is allotted my current seat will be canceled right ? if not allotted i will be retained same collage right?
i am eligible to apply IGMC &RI ( NRI non fill seat) under Management quota? and what is the fees ?

Yes, it is possible to upgrade.
If seat is allotted in R3, your current seat will be cancelled.
If seat is not allotted in R3, your current seat will be retained.
Check the choice filling. If IGMC is shown for you, you can select it. Fees will be same as other private colleges.

No. It has nothing to do with reservation.
The problem is not about seat allotment. The problem is in candidates joining the seat after allotment.

Admission is going on until 31 Oct for BDS and BSc Nursing. The refund process will start only after that.

Yes, most students are not clear on what they want. The counseling procedure also makes it worst.

Dear Sir, It’s very good suggestion. Why can’t we send this information (Off line counselling ) all relevant Authorities legally to do one more final round to fill all vacant seats.
Do we have the authority? If you want to make any changes, you can only approach the Court.

Another bad part is that they didn’t event conduct another round of stray counselling for unfilled seats as there are many seats vacant. Govt office mindset ..yaaru ketta enakku enna.

Totally, 50 MBBS seats are vacant in TN deemed universities. I don't have the breakdown by college.

Just wait. They will publish a list of eligible candidates for refund.

But If conduct offline counselling for final round, some students are blocking more seats at previous rounds.
1. May conduct Single (Common) counselling for All India eligible (Quota) seats. (OR)
2. May introduce (release) waiting list for 1 seat 3 student in final round
Spot counseling does not allow you to block a seat. You have to either take it or leave it. Decision is taken on the spot. There is no waiting time. First year fees paid immediately & documents surrendered on the spot.
Sir, I told, if students know offline counselling in final round, they (top students) will block seats @ previous rounds and then some other students will join in final round. I am unable to explained clearly.
@@sureshkumargurramI am suggesting offline round not conducted by colleges. Offline round conducted by the government, as per the rank list; not randomly filled.
Mcc proposed one online counseling which may avoid this, but many states & some of the so called educational experts opposed it sir. What can we do?
May avoid this. But, is MCC capable of handling the counseling for the entire country is a big question. The only way to ensure zero vacancies is to conduct spot counseling for the final round.
It should be possible with proper software I feel.

That 86 seats are weather alloted but not joined or not alloted ? if alloted but not joined students can approach court for late join ?
About 80 seats were allotted and not joined. They cannot join later.
After getting court order .. weather they can join ?
