15 years ago? Beautiful performance. Today this style is not popular among folk-song performers neither in Mongolia nor in Inner-Mongolia. We must look back and keep the tradition in all forms.
Inner Mongolia (not to be confused with Mongolia, of course) *is* a part of China and Mongolians form a fairly singificant ethnic minority group in PRC...;-)
Inner Mongolia is a part of China, that's a fact. It is an autonomous region, but it exists within Chinese borders - as they are now, anyway. Mongolia, the big country nestled between China and Russian federation (with Ulaanbaatar as capital) is *not* a part of China. And yeah, you're right. I've never left China because I've *never* even been there. And while I may be a sinophile, I definitely do not share general Chinese outlook on things. My vision is broad enough. Yours seems rather narrow.
